the speed fluctuations would indicate the server mechanics are elbow deep in digital grease.

Maybe Rosy doesn't give those mice enough cheese to keep rolling the cogs.

What does that mean in English?

Someone is probably tweaking and changing settings on the fly trying to fix the problem.

Re: Forum speed

I don't think I have really noticed, although I was at the Tigers Dockers game last week and tried posting from the ground.

It was intolerably slow, but I put that down to trying to post remotely and the fact that the stadium might not have had very good mobile coverage.

Re: Forum speed

That's really weird Streak. You're the only person who's said they haven't noticed it. Were you on the forum during game time today? It was taking ages to open pages. It's happened our last 3 games for some reason.

Re: Forum speed

Just so that everyone is in the know, we're aware that there is an issue and it's taking us a little while to understand why things are going a bit slow, so please have patience, we are keen on sorting things out. Must be the excitement of the preseason dragging all the fans out of the closet and on to PRE. Can't wait when we razzle dazzle during H&A when it really matters. We may have to buy a super computer to cope with the traffic...

Streak's probably still on dial-up.

Nah, didn't log in then Rosy.

Saw it during the Freo game, but thought the problem was my end.

Re: Forum speed

I have noticed that since the gmae at Manaka finished, the site speed has increased a lot. Yet the number of users on here doesn't seem to have fallen away that much.

Is it because most people on here were in that gameday thread?

Re: Forum speed

Apologies yet again. Those looking in to the problem thought they'd identified, and fixed, it. Obviously not. Back to the drawing board I guess. I'm glad I was away all day and blissfully unaware of the site being slow. It's sooooooo frustrating.

That's what I noticed too. Maybe it depends on how many post at the same time.

Re: Forum speed

It was running fine during the match but now at Half Time it's getting quite slow for me.
