Footy Show

This guy has always been in football for himself. Yes he is soft and weak - when did he ever put on a gut busting tackle out of the forward line or anywhere on the ground for that matter? As for his broken leg, that was just misfortune in that he had a player that collapsed against his leg when he was kicking it when he was going for a goal. I want this guy to put in one percenters - chase with conviction, not just jog, tackle with conviction, not just put a half arsed tackle on only to fall to the ground so that he doesnt have to be in the next play. I dont have to talk to him, its obvious that in the first three rounds this year (and previous years) that he only puts in only when he feels like it.

He wants a rocket, cause if he like others on the list dont want to put in 100% then he goes back to the burgers. He is not a traitor, just a lazy so and so like alot of other players on the list. This is a typical guy who wears the yellow and black that needs to get his act together and bloody shine by example. Way to way in a comfort zone.

As for those 1%ers yes it would be good for him to have made more of them in the past 10 seasons but i'm gonna tell ya, the reason we r where we r isnt because browny didnt put on a gut busting tackle. He's always been an outside, silky skilled small fwd goal sneak who plays in bursts, capable of kicking 50+ goals in a season and can win games off his own boot. We dont and never have wanted him at the bottom of the pack, we want the less skilled others there shoveling the ball out to him.

He was in the best 10 plrs in the AFL when he broke his leg and it is pretty optomistic of neone to think he was ever gonna reach those heights again. The guy isnt lazy and if he was he would never hav come back in the first place after his horrible injury and then came back again after the follow up problems he had. His best is behind him but he is still valuable and if the whole team in general can move the ball fwd a little quicker and everyone can improve 5-10% on the past 2 weeks on there efficiency then I think u will find that N.Brown himself wont be noticed to be in a comfort zone that u believe him to be in when its the team as a whole that is in the comfort zone.

I can't recall a comment in senior sport in 29 years (from a senior, well paid player), that constitutes treason, as did Brown's comment. Some of our dearly departed heroes will be turning in their graves, and the ones still chugging along must be shaking their heads in disbelief. These guys are taking the *smile* - Terry and his merry band. F.. off and take your hard earned cash. Oh, and don't ever show your pussy faces in Walhalla!

He should be played deep forward in order to manage his leg properly.

Either he'll play for another 3-4 years as a quality small forward (and a chance at a flag), or he shouldn't play at all.

Playing him midfield will not prolong his career, and if his career can't be prolonged for future finals... why play him?

Whilst I did'nt watch the show, I'll say what I've said repeatedly "if you don't, won't or can't perform" then your out of the team that plays.

I don't care who the player is, the skipper, Foley, Nathan Brown, Matty Richardson, Troy Simmonds, Jay *smile*, Joel Bowden, Shane Tuck etc etc, they are paid to play and win games PERIOD.

If they don't then they should be banished to Coburg and not just for one game but a minimum of 3 games to get the message into their collective THICK HEADS that not winning is NOT AN OPTION.

As for Newman's "relax, its only the first 3 games", so it is, however given the performance shown in those 3 games I think anyone who supports or sponsors the RFC has every right in the world to question the players work ethic and attitude.

Personally, most of the senior players seem to be there just to enhance their bank accounts and ego's. They certainly do not seem to have their minds on the job when the ball is bounced at 2.10pm Saturday/Sunday that is for sure.

If Richmond lose this weekend to Melbourne, then the spotlight by the media, should not only be on the coach, it should also be firmly on those players who are being extremely well paid and rewarded to play 2 hours of football per week and pretty much do bugger all else.

To be quite honest, if I had my way J Bowden, N Brown, T Simmonds along with J *smile* and R Tambling out for at least 3 matches and perhaps more. With Cog's, Cuz and Cotch hopefully only a week or two away from coming back into the senior side, perhaps then these sorts of changes will be made and about bloody time.

As for the end of the year, well there is at least 10 players and probably more who should not be on the playing list, but due to Gold Coast coming onboard, the RFC Board doesn't have much room to move, which means it has to adapt with what players its got in the fold (the younger ones anyway). That said, RFC Management must come down extremely hard on the players and make them earn every bloody penny they get or be ruthless not gutless and get rid of them. I'd rather take pick 70 in the draft than retain some senior almost 30 year player, who is just there because of what he did 5 years ago.

I think we know the answer to that.

Did i say about him being on the bottom of packs champ? No, go back and read. It is players like Brown who whilst do have a way to turn games dont consistently. He is what i'd call just a good, average player as the famous Jack said.

What you say - if he was lazy he wouldnt of come back after breaking a leg mate - and how much would he of lost now. Wake up Skunky, this type of player is only in it for the money. He doesnt do nowhere what he needs to and only wants to be the me boy who wants to win the game. And you should ask yourself if you agree - why is he in the comfort zone. Shouldnt he be a leader of the club.

Look I dont give a bugger if he kicks 6 this week. I want to know how he does against top lined clubs. Its just lucky for him that his mate TW has thrown him up the ground to get cheap kicks lately and not be found out when it comes down to doing the dirty work or should i say "silky" work down on the forward line where he should be earning his bread and butter.

Sorry i should of mentioned he is just another overpaid princess down at the RFC.

Cog's speaking "exclusively" on the footy show tonight.

Pity, I'd rather he didn't. Granted "The Footy Show" want to say great to see you back for around 5 seconds, then the inevitable questions about Richmonds team performance and the coach will surface. With a bit of luck, Cogs, being a smart boy will simply pass it off, difficult to do, but hopefully he will get them to focus on his return to the bigs rather than all the other doddle of which we are only too damn familiar.

The only person that should be talking about anything at Richmond right now is the Club President, everyone else at the club should have their collective lips zipped, especially N Brown.

Brad Miller's definitely done well for himself >:D.

Absolutely SMOKING HOT.

I bet it eases the pain of getting flogged every week, if you had that to come home to every nite.

What did Cogs have to say?

Not much really, it was about a 5 second interview.

Hutchy obviously thought it wasn't the time or the place to be asking the hard questions about why we have been so pathetic this year (thank god).

Just talked about how excited he was to be playing, how getting the call from Terry on Tuesday to make his debut gave him even more excitement than his first game. How he said he is as ready as can be, and his preparation has been excellent for this week.

Indeed. Thanks for the rundown Kung Fu Pandaboy.

Golden Orb spiders are the only spiders I like. They don't really bite. These ones are small compared to some of the big ones I've seen.
