Flakey future

There are going to a very good team and will be for awhile with all that talent .. there biggest weakness is they have little Support . Look at the MightyTigers and teams like Collingwood .. massive support massive passion . Something GWS hasn't got .

Yep, and come that last day in September, it's something they'll never, ever have.

They didn't look the same as Adelaide did after 2017.

Chalk and cheese, GWS are going to be back. The favours they get from the AFL will also help but GWS are trying to build a genuine culture and are likely to break through in the next 5 years.

Gee Whiz will be well up for a flag in the next 3 years.

Hopefully their first won't be won against us!!!

However if its gone tits up for the RFC and the Gee Whiz do win one then hopefully its against Figgywood cos that would just be tooooo funny. :mhihi

I've been worried about GWS for years but they never seem to quite get there. Finals has always been their big downfall. They don't like pressure. No doubt they by pure quantity of numbers, it'll all come together sooner than later. The talent is unbelievable. Definitely not a work-horse blue collar team like the Tigers.
A lot of great premiership teams have needed their squad to hit a certain age when their leadership group become warriors. For instance, the Hawks pinched a flag in 08 but it was a few more years before Hodge's group truly became leaders of men. We were the same, making finals, but then Cotch, Jack, Alex, Shane, Lambert etc became true beasts, not to mention Dusty.

GWS may just be reaching a stage where a significant number in their squad can match Ward and whoever else has been leading their charge.

They can win theirs ......................against Collingwood :mhihi when we are done winning ours

The reality is that early in the season, defensive systems are never up to scratch, and that is our one wood that Dimma keeps referring to.

Add to that, the fact that we are probably as much as a month behind most other sides in preparation, a deliberate strategy to peak when it matters.

The bigger concern now is the uncertainty that the Corona Virus adds in the respect that maybe you just need to bank ealy wins, as you don't know if you will be in a position later in the season, where you are literally in a forfeit situation. Where whole groups of people have to go into quarantine because they were near somepne that has the virus, if one player tests positive, does that put your whole list into quarantine for 14 days, or can we just challenge the opposition to bubble soccer instead?

If games do indeed end up being played in empty stadiums, then GWS will have an unfair advantage.

As a general stat to win a premiership you need 50% of the team to be experienced 100/200/300 games. Even the so called Baby Bombers had half the team full of experienced premiership players.
