Favourite game of the Dynasty

It’s only been 2 seasons but I’m already tired of looking backwards.

Obviously the Q final against the Moggies in 2017. The mood n noise to start that game and then the way we played during the game convinced me we finally had a side that could finally push through and win us a flag after half a life time of hurt. Didn't even consider that we might win three, but I knew we were good enough to take on all comers n get one.

For me, the greatest "moment" of the dynasty is the sealing Butler goal with 6:50 left in the 2017 PF. One of those camera-shaking moments.

I knew were a chance when we shouldve beaten Cats at KP. I thought we could give it a red hot shake after destroying Freo. When we pumped the aints I thought we could be on here. But halfway through the QF, I had a the biggest sheizen eating grin across my face, cos I knew we had the best player in the land at peak powers, and we were red freaking hot. I booked a flight from Narita to the most insane Tiger party ever, and I knew we'd be premiers next week. I thought if lose it from here its our own fault. And we didn't.

I have a slightly different offering.
Round 8, 2019. We’re at 4 and 3, but dealing with a sudden spate of injuries to compound Alex ‘he is the system’ Rance’s round 1 ACL and Jack’s busted wrist. The Pies had slapped us by seven goals and so had the dogs, just a week before this underrated game.
So we headed west to play a Sunday nighter against Freo with most expecting us to succumb.
Despite losing Nank and Ross during the game, we still won, with Shai kicking four and sticking 7 tackles, and George kicking an extraordinary snag that suffered one of the great travesties of off-broadway games when it not only failed to win GOTY, but was overlooked for a pretty pedestrian Gary Ablett dribbler for goal of the round.

Nah, must respect, and revel in, past glories.

Best of the dynasty, how about the game that started it all - 1967 Grand Final, if you have never watched that game, do so, brilliant game, close all day . . . and we beat the Cats.

DS

PS: oh crap, wrong dynasty!

love the highlights.
Ablett's goal, you can see Clangerfeild fall down, turns to the umpire asking for a free.

The Premiership in 17, beating the Scats in the 17 Q Final, and again the 19 P Final and the 20 GF, and beating Port in the PF in 2020.
Same here.
What a package of wonderful victories. Each one stirring in its own way.
(That QF17 defeat of Geelong still gets me out of my seat when I watch it. Such a ripper of a game on so many levels!!)

For me it is the game that simultaneously started, sealed, and ended the mighty Blues 2022 Round 1 dynasty. Epic!

Oh. What's that you say?

Wrong dynasty?

Sorry... :flush

In that case... When we pumped Geelong in the last half at the G in 2017.

2017 our first final V Geel

the noise of the Tiger army

Richo on the ground saying how deafening it was and almost tearing up

I just felt the crowd would get us over the line

and in the 2.54 min mark that famous run with Dusty & Tom Stewart
( dare you to watch it and not get a lump in your throat )
