There's quite a few mistakes in that article. Cambo only played 297 & Dusty signed a 7 year deal not 9.

What makes it even worse is that earlier they say Campbell played 297. They also say he’ll do a photo with the 5 living 300 gamers then name 6 of which Cambo is one. Their proofreader clearly took the day off.

They sook and whinge why he dosent do any interviews.
They bag him that his finished.
They say that he looks disinterested and he wants to go elsewhere.
This week its look at Penderbury, he can play to his 65.
Pity Collingwood supporters were saying he was finished 4 weeks ago.
*smile* them Give them nothing

What *smile* me is people in the industry know Dusty has a weakness for personal information being discussed or media focus.... Yet relentlessly there are hacks everywhere, every week firing off stories grounded in nothing factual.

It feels like they are trying to drive him out of the game, to poke and poke untill they get a bigger story.

*smile* the lot of them.

Spot on. I genuinely feel for Dusty. Imagine having heap of insincere self-serving media hacks constantly speculating and second guessing about your emotional and mental state? I understand it comes with the territory to some extent, but Dustys status and mystique means its taken to crazy levels.

I suppose he takes comfort knowing it come to and end, like all things, and he can kick back in his penthouse or beachouse and relax. But wow, he would need a lot of support to deal with it.

There is a contractual obligation for players to make themselves available post game for on field interviews. It will be interesting to see whether Dusty does after his 300th, he may not. Pay the fine I reckon.

He clearly has decided he won't do interviews, he just won't talk to the press. I am not sure any fair thinking person would blame him for that. He has been through a lot with his Dad and the constant innuendo and speculation over the years most of which has been the result of nothing more than his desire to be private and the fact he is actually quite shy and reserved.

I just wish they would leave him alone. I'd like to see him have the photo with the other 300 gamers and if he doesn't want to do anything else that is fine by me. I will be there watching and celebrating him on the day and that's enough for me and I suspect most tiger fans.

Yeah, he might refuse the interview, or take the advice he has no doubt been given and has followed many times: stand there and proffer up meaningless platitudes in response to meaningless questions. Surely he can at least get a laugh out of his own non-responsiveness in interviews.

I highly doubt that would ever be enforced
