Dustin Martin

Sure he tried but had no influence in a high pressure game.2 tackles
is a pathetic number for a midfielder just look at Boaks numbers.

Was too interested in wrestling with Ebert. Ebert won.

Wasn't his best game. Had to stop the wanting the little give and take and get the ball himself and go direct. This I guess is being coached out of him and other players.

Wanted and we needed more from Dusty. Clubs know how to unsettle him and Cotch!

Has to work through that as he will be targeted as clubs know his importance and influence in games.

The Danger-Dusty brownlow quinella is the biggest certainty since the sun rose this mornin

just home from work and saw Dusty's stats did they give him free reign or did he battle through a tag

I have never seen him so aggressive from the get go. Hilariously I saw him actually hunt a player down for the don't argue in the last quarter.

He is working so hard and it's amazing to witness. Nearly 40 possession tonight.

He is good very good but he still does a few too many wtf plays every game. A- not quite there!

he played 100% mid time. tried to stop him with Kim Jong for a while and gave up. 3 blow votes for sure.

Another A- midfielder might help.

just a gun

As a long term support of this club ........Dusty I am sorry you have to be apart of this team ...........

its embarrassing that you run out with players like conca b ellis vickery, and the other 80% of them

thank god you are apart of this club ................

No tag. We give him the ball at every opportunity. Did some comical things tonight but overall he was huge again

Dustin Martin is somewhere between Superstar and Champion of the Game.

His kicking is what delineates that for now. Tonight he was the best kick in the comp four or five times. And his (bizarre) turnovers by foot were rare.

Martin is emerging. And he is the key to our future.

His was a captain's game.

Agree totally and he now believes

I though lt he was pretty selfish tonight. Demanding the ball when he wasn't clear and trying to take on tackles rather than giving it off to someone in a better position.

One time he gave it to Cotch and should have shepherded him but instead ran on to get the receive only to be blocked and turn it over.

Just wants the ball, wants to take the game on.

And is starting to hurt blokes without it.

Me likey.

He's not a quick user, TBH. He relies on his vastly superior athleticism - shove-strength and explosive step with ball - to create time for a good or brilliant decision. A kick. Always a kick.

My long time criticism of him has been his kicking. Because, given the time he generates he has to hit. We can't afford for him to turn that over.

Tonight he was very good by foot.

(He'll never shepherd. He's not smart enough in the nano second. Not a quick thinker.)

The way the umpires crucified him tonight can't see him getting any umpires votes.

Exactly. I reckon Cotchin will poll better.
The umpires will give votes to opposition players in games we have won. We are most disliked team in the umpires eyes.
I know who the Adelaide coach feels like after watching this *smile* tonight.

Was thinking the same thing.

Especially Bannister. Crucified him at every opportunity.

It would be a crime if he doesn't get in the votes.
