Duncan must retire thread.

Honest appraisal, bite the bullet, rebuild......these are the words we have all been sprouting on about all year.

Duncan is finished, simple as that. The one strength he had was getting to contests and fighting hard, but he is so slow know that he can't even do that.

Duncan, please retire honourably. Don't embarress yourself trying to go around one more year.
 
knowing duncan he probaly already has decided to retire and in typical duncan style he just wants to go out quietly after the season.
 
As DK has not had a press conference to announce his retirement one assumes he believes that he has another year in him.
Football is too professional now for any player no matter how much an icon to have that luxury.
If the 'brains trust' (sic) at Punt Road believe he has still something to offer fair enough but if they don't they should let him know and allow him to leave with dignity.
 
I'd give Dunc another year. But if he sustains another long term injury, it will set us back. As most previous replies have said, I'd get rid of quite a few others before touching Dunc.

We all know his time is up, been a great servant but he must also know its time to step aside.
