Massive part of our issues
He can't kick. And if its a time to trade do it now when ww could stooge a club.
We need player's that can kick.

Delisted/relisted players qualify for unrestricted free agency for life, so can go to any club that offers them a contract if they are out of contract. Chol is out of contract end of this season and so can walk to any club that wants to offer him a new contract.
I believe that if you sign a new contract, you can't then be immediately traded so we can't re-contract him just to trade him.
I mean, I guess you could try to trade him but why would a club give you something back if you get him for free anyway? Not sure of the rules on that.

Well theoretically he can be traded.
If a club brought a free agent in, and lost a free agent out. They may not want to dilute the compensation pick they’d get for losing the outgoing free agent by the acquisition of the free agent coming in. Net gain/loss formula the AFL work to, or make up.
So a club might trade a FA for a very late”nominal” pick.
But that’s if it was a decent compo pick. I’m not sure what a Chol/McIntosh type would bring contract wise = compo pick.
In this case (hypothetically) we might only get a 4th round compo pick. But if bring in a Merrett type FA, who cares?
