Similar for me. Heard someone on radio say delete the app and reinstall which I did and it worked very easily. But updating the app version is smarter.
Colleague said the app has a feature to capture your certificate to show separately to a venue checkin but haven't tried it.

2nded, I couldn't update at first because the service vic app hadn't automatically updated. Once I did that manually it was fine.
 
Good on NSW for opening up ! We have 6 different states with 6 different sets of rules . FACT !!
Morrison has no control over the states . Hasn’t for past 12 months
Queensland are building quarantine facilities. VIC will have ridiculous rules and lockdowns into 2022 and NSW closing quarantine down and opening up . Who is right and who is wrong . Who knows . Living in Queensland makes you realise how ridiculous the situation is Victoria . CoVid stops at the Tweed Heads border . Very smart virus the delta !! Lol
We have one case every two weeks here and it disappears like that !
Andrews is hell bent on destroying the economy . Not into politics . Neither left or right . They are all incompetent!! Current situation is NSW v Vic or should I say Liberal V Labor . Glad I don’t play in this complete rubbish . Get vaxxed and move on !

Agree. They all should be sticking to the agreements. So NSW need to be told to slow down for a few weeks. Then the plan is good in my eyes. But the other states can’t continue to be going slow on this now.

Byron Bay hipsters should be getting their shots urgently as it won’t be pretty if half aren’t vaccinated.

I do wish Dominic a lot of success as we do need to get on with it. But wish he would wait until say the 1st December.

Sounds like the PM didn't know about the NSW changes in advance and that it might be reversed.

Happy for NSW to open up sooner (although very jealous and somewhat miffed at their headstart they've received) but Perrotet doesn't control international borders.

SCOMO might have backed himself into a corner here. His continual statements that hotel quarantine belongs to the states leaves him little room to then tell the states what to do.

Looks like Parrothead is just going to do what he wants anyway

Did I hear right on the radio this arvo??
Chairman Dan is going to allow fully vaxxed tourists from NSW into the state, but fully vaxxed locals will still be stuck under the 25 kliks from home rulings as our restrictions finally start to ease. WTF??? Surely I should have had my hearing aids in so I could listen properly.

I was using the updated app but even then the sequence of steps was not intuitive for me and the gov't website instructions were poor. Perhaps it's just quicker for young'uns.
