The 'essential workers' concept in Sydney is completely bizarre on 2 levels
1. That LNP have an ideological anaphylaxis to calling retail non-essential, and
2. How retailers and real estate agents can delude themselves.
this quote from a guardian article on the topic
"Regienald Panganiban from Enhanced Supplements, a fitness store in Fairfield, said the discussions around who was an essential worker were “absolutely confusing”.
“At the moment, essential is not defined very clearly, and I would probably define myself as healthcare, as I sell supplements and proteins,” he said."
Confusing? really? Clue: will civil society break down if people can't purchase amino acid pangolin milk powder? healthcare? C'mon.
bakery? tick. Ambo? tick rubbish collection? tick. Muscle Building supplement powders and dark web steroids? cross
although I can see how, in Sydney, real estate agents could be considered essential; they are a kind of religious community leader down there.
*smile* me.
