Coronavirus

The whole requirement to get tested if you've been near an exposure site is overkill. We're nearly at 100% double vaxxed and forcing people to wait 3 hours to get tested is ridiculous. If you're double vaxxed and are still scared don't leave your house.

We're nowhere near 100% double vaxxed. Plenty of folks still yet to be done, some with legitimate reasons some just
I had to be tested a few weeks ago & waited for 1hr 10 minutes the 1st time & 20 minutes the 2nd. Had the results in less than 24hrs.

A 3hr waiting time seems to be a bit of an exaggeration.

Might be the way the test site is organised. My partner went for a test when it was much busier and she waited all day (months ago) but from what she was saying the place she was tested was not very well organised and they were not getting through people quickly at all. Not the fault of the people working there just needed to sort things out a lot better.

2.5 hours to be exact. drove in 11.00 drove out 1.30. It's time to move on. Queues in front of shops checking for vaccination status. different entries and different toilets for the vaxxed and unvaxxed at certain sporting venues. parents can't walk into the school yard to pick up their kids at certain schools. kids at primary schools having to wear masks. it's over kill.

Have you lost anyone to Covid?? Have you had any of your family suffer from it, have you had to care for anyone who's had it, have you had to self isolate because some stupid person has NOT WANTED TO GET VAXXED & passed it on to MANY MANY people???

OVERKILL MY A***

It’s not really too much to ask is it? Get tested, get results quickly get back to school?
Seems some are never satisfied unless they can do what they want when they want how they want and *smile* everyone else. Pack of sooks IMO. Harden up princess.

If you're doubled vaxxed you'll be fine. Stop being afraid.

There are lots of kids in schools who are not double vaccinated or vaccinated at all and as has been said so many of our cases at the moment are coming out of schools..

I got tested yesterday afternoon, waited 15 minutes and have my negative result already. I did it because I have little children in my family and a family member very fragile healthwise who can't afford to get COVID and i was exposed to someone who themselves was exposed to a positive case . It's a small price to pay not so much for my health but for the people around me who might catch it from me.

We need to to simplify and streamline the testing IMO. There was a
Four hour queue early last week when I got a ping for being at Bunnings on weekend . (Pinged Tuesday night so this was wed morning at Sandringham hospital). I went back that evening and took me about an hour and got result on Friday morning (36 hours). The previous time I was in and out in fifteen minutes and got result the next day so I guess it just depends on whether the demand is high or not. Two and a half hours is not an exaggeration though.

What we are protecting now is the hospital system so eventually you would think we have to let it become endemic and just those with symptoms get tested (not contacts).

Whether the right time to do that is now or in a few more months time I’m not sure. Potentially it will be once 5-12 vax opens up and when a month or so after that has passed.

I imagine this gets modelled.

Tell that to the pinheads who wont get vaxxed but who're happy to spread it through the community, including the "Carer" who complained bitterly that the council she worked for told her & every other carer who worked there MUST be Vaccinated or there was no job for them. She refused' so she lost her job. Unfortunately she'd already spread Covid to many people who she "cared" for. Plus numerous members of their families.

Case in my sons school Tuesday. We got text wed morning, he got tested wed morning (1.5 hour wait) and stayed home from school. Got negative result that night. Back at school today.
Not too hard.

It's the "pinheads" that are most at risk. The vaxxed will be fine. Do your part, get vaxxed and you'll be protected. If you are vulnerable get a booster.

This is doubling down on the Darwin.

A number of EU countries starting to drift towards mandatory vaccination citing unacceptable health and economic risks that are just too much to deal with.

That’ll be interesting to watch.

And then he tried to pass it off as a joke. Like you’d joke about a subject as serious as this with someone like Birx and in front of the entire world.

“Or almost a cleaning”. A cleaning. Yeah. A cleaning. Staggering.

Worth watching again. It's criminal negligence.

any idea how would this work?

strap people down?

Surely no-vax - no hospital admission is the best way if it comes to it?

keeping both citizens with the facebook-psychosis and ICU beds free?

I joke about it, but Im becoming increasingly convinced there is a new kind of mental illness,

akin to Facebook Psychosis,

and I think the Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders will come to recognise it pretty shortly,

and classify it in terms of a psychosis brought on by stress and information overload and characterised by conspiratorial thinking, delusions and grandiosity.

Ive experienced it first hand recently, and its quite clearly an illness.

It’s not an illness. It’s a natural outcome of social media algorithms and our brain chemistry.

But I do agree as eventually (if not done already) big pharma will call it an illness so they can sell drugs to manage it.

Well I didn’t have to google hard….. https://www.addictioncenter.com/drugs/conspiracy-theory-addiction/

It's just humans really.Pretty much time to hand the planet back to the other species .
We are deeply flawed psychologically. ....I prefer little mammals.
