Its a blessing for them that he is out

But Heeney is their goto in a crisis

Rampe out is huge. He's controlled Jack the last few times we;ve played them. Their listed defence is very short. Surely they play either McLean, Amartey or McDonald down back?
Cant see it tbh Poshy.
Theyve been playing a 3 tall forward line so mclean a straight swap for buddy.

And would any of them be good defenders?
Mclean a lumbering bumbling forward ruck who could keep up with Soldo if we had him as ff.
Mcdonald a talented junior ff. Has probably never dirtied his hands in the backline.
Amartey is a maybe. But has less footy nouse than we accuse Balta of. He'd just jump around like a great dane puppy.

I think that Horse has put chips in on beating us with run.
He knows we will bring it in fast.
It will bounce back quicker with Florent (having a great season) Lloyd Blakey and Campbell told to run run run.
Will be an interesting test.
Hope we lower the eyes

Our guys should be pumped. I heard Gil McLachlan talking about the success of the Gath around, including the sellout of all games AND 10,000 spectators watching Richmond train at Glenelg today, the home of the SA Tigers.

Seems we're the only team letting Reacheround down at the moment. Hun this morning reckons that Gilligan has authorised half price tickets for adults n freebies for U14s to try n create a sell out crowd for our game. Some 3000 tickets still available.
Typical AFLHQ smear reality with beige so the no-one can see you're talking *smile*.

So when Gibcus comes back and teams up with big Noah will our backline then be known as the Rock of Gibraltar CFC02769-CA0A-43CE-B99A-E513BF49D753.jpeg

To me, Ross could replace a bunch of our kids and make us better.

But after playing him at CHF for a half in the VFL, it was pretty difficult for him to force his way back in. Despite being our best mid for a half.

He'll probably get played as a ruckman, or a full back this week.
Ross has shown us enough times what he is. Has never grasped his opportunity. Rarely done anything that stands out at the elite level. He's a classic in betweener. Very good at VFL level but lacks any elite qualities to make it at AFL level.

Should never be played in front of real talent of the likes of Sonsie/Cumberland/Clarke/Rioli Jnr.

That's a matter of opinion.

To me, he's shown a lot more than some of the juniors in our side currently. In terms of 'Grasping his opportunity', he's gotten himself involved in every match he's played in.

He's also had very very limited opportunities, to actually play his position.

Of course it is. It's all opinions on here. Some rated george highly, some didn't.

The funny thing is people say Ross is a bull inside midfielder - yet when he plays there (granted not often at AFL level) he is average. Has never been a big CP winner at any level. He is an average kick so not great on the outside. He's not particularly quick. Average overhead.

If the club thought he had bright future at the top level would they have pursued 2 guys playing the exact role many say should be his?

Looking at the app, might be a little bit of drizzle around in Adelaide tonight but doesn't look like rain will play a big part.
Of those emergencies Ross would be the most flexible sub you'd think but I'd like to see MJ inject a bit of pressure on the Swans defenders too..

Yeah, I think the club has missed a trick there.

Firstly, I reckon Ross is a very reliable disposer. Not incisive like Dusty or lightning like Edwards, but has extremely good vision in traffic and usually finds a forward option, either by hand or foot.

He gets the ball from contest to freedom well.

He also reads the play extremely well, and knows how to find the ball. He runs to the right spots, and runs all day.

He goes okay in the contest. He's not Cotch or Hopper, but better outside than the latter.

He's could actually be very similar to how S. Grigg played for us in 2017. Minus the rucking.

I think he adds a dimension we need, but clearly not one the club values at the moment. I think he would pair better with Taranto or Hopper than either do with each other.

I hope you're right. He would end up a valuable player.

Nowhere near as creative by hand, accountable or as good inside as Grigg.

19 of 22 possessions last run uncontested. 2 score involvements.
