Changes vs Port

VFL streamed tonight.

Bauer. Mate, Stack, Sonz, Moju, Dow, Miller, Cumberland, Banks, Sambo and RCD plenty to watch and plenty to keep an eye on.

Feel sorry for the VFL guys with George they wont know what the hell is going on they've never seen him before:mhihi
and after tonight, hope to never see him again I bet ! ;)

The George hate is really, really weird.

Unlike Jack Ross, he’s a triple premiership hero. Been a good player at his best, a dynamic defensive forward.

Needs a spell but the vitriol is so strange.

End of an era.
Lambs not an automatic selection in the 22.
A stalwart for our great club, gamely battling injury.
The heart and soul of our club.
Be interesting to see if Lambs and Sheds will join Caddy in retirement.

He's the epitome of the Managed Player for the rest of the season.

He only has a half Dozen or so games left in him and the club is going have to balance his games and his recovery to get the best from him for the rest of the season.

His hip is sadly shot to bits and wont allow him to keep going week in and week out.

So to sum it up
we are going into the game with 8 talls which is very questionable , especially at this time of year...
I think port have 5 or 6 so potentially more run to them

we are carrying shedda who is struggling to run out games
bolton is carrying a hip injury which seems to be limiting his time in the midfield
question on dustys form and fitness and presumably like bolton may not play as much in midfield?
jack spent 3 days in hospital this weekend? perhaps not an ideal preparation
baltas first game in what 4 weeks? perhaps a bit underdone
picketts first game in 3 weeks though should be ok i guess given he wasn't injured i suppose..
first gamer playing
coming off bye which we seem to struggle with

Given we have been struggling to run out games all of the above is a worry

very very nervous about this game..
probably more confident of beating the blues even though they are a better team than port..

p.s i kow my grammar and puncuation sucks , sorry..

Again team selections are going to cost us. Weather is going to be wet and miserable and we gomin with 2 rucks of which one struggles to move on a dry day. Another loss coming up and curtains for season

Hinkley basically conceding the ruck and planning to rove to our tapouts. If Soldo and Nank manufacture a clear advantage at clearances, we win.

With the structure of our side (Balta playing forward) , Ports first ruck Finlayson FFS and a cold wet night.

Really can't see why Soldo plays ahead of a runner TBH. He's not needed up forward. Nank will dominate and do 80% of ruckwork anyway so he'll essentially give a chop-out for 5 to 7 mins a qtr, be ineffectual, slow and provide no pressure up forward and take minutes on the bench from his teammates to rest.

Could understand some reasoning if Jack was on his own up front, but not with Balta who will do equally well on the ball. In fact reckon that run up the ground would help Noah.

We are clearly the better team. Hope our structure of all these talls on a night like this (or anytime ILO) doesn't cost us with our opponents having too much run (again).

Let's hope he tidy 's up his game was not impressed against swans school boy mistakes.
I've said it before that's Port best 22.
We lose tonight.. Hardwick needs to consider the hard yards of a rebuild or he walks away.
There's nothing in the 2's that will make us better next week.
So it's plan for the future

To be honest if that's the case get games in Miller.

Maybe a late change on the cards???

Too tall for my liking. What do I know.
Would have liked another runner…

It's crunch time. We only had two wins and a draw after the bye last year. The next three weeks will tell us where we are at. Port have picked a smaller quicker team with only six talls. They will back their running power to break us open late.

I only count six talls for us too.
