We played well tonight. Not much would have needed to go right to get the win over last year's prelim finalists.
Not losing half our backline would have helped. Bolton waking up from his snooze. Mansell being able to convert from 3 metres. Not having a 5 day break that took out Prestia. Not having another - 10 free kick differential. Any of those.

You forgot the under achievers Mansell MRJ Pickett Ross. Tresize Miller will have to come in for Gib & Young. Sonsie Cumberland Clarke Ralphsmith besides Coutlhard are some who have enough games under their belt to step up to the next level. Time to bite the bullet Adam & remember " who dares wins ".

I am sure glad we don't have to pick next games team as we can always blame the selectors again if it goes all wrong
Lefau is quick.
Mcauliffe has that lateral movement you want in a midfielder and is a big unit.
Those two will address other issues, but not direct speed through the midfield. We need a Coulthard or someone in this side as well.
You may be surprised to learn Lefau/Miller (2.91) & McAuliffe (2.92) beat Clarke's (2.95) combine 20 metre sprint result, not that it's the true test of acceleration in game.
Can we just check with the Gestapo that this isn't an away game in 10 f*cking days!! Too short or too long??
