Changes vs Geelong

Balta hasn't been carving it up when forward, but geez him out for Soldo is a big loss when you look at our team and structure.

Hurts our pressure, pace, forward line and also robs us of an excellent key defender if needed mid match.

The quicker he is back so can get back to last weeks structure the better.
Yeh, its huge. Soldo needs to really have a presence at the contest and we must at least break even in that area.

If ever we needed our talisman to inject himself into 2022 its now.

These are the wrong outs and sore players (Tarrant) for the wrong team. Any other team we might get by, but I’m not sure v Geesalt.

I feel the same Red.

We're copping them at the wrong time.

Late June, winter, low crowds and atmosphere is traditionally Geelong's time to shine.

I'd much rather get them in September.

Nice change not having to play them at that substandard Auskick paddock that we taxpayers are funding though.

Very worried. Two key contested possessions winners out (Chimp and Lambo) plus a key player (Balta) who we can use down back if things get hairy with Tarrant and Gibbers on their in-form tall forwards.

Have watched the replay several times and whilst Lambo can hardly move these days he is at the drop of the ball every single time, just wills himself to the right spot, quite amazing really.

Too nice (Soldo) ... need to start playing with some anger - within the rules.

Hope what happened last night the way Melbourne bashed up the Lions doesn’t eventuate when we play the Cats.

We know that they are a big bodied side and Scott will have them up for this game.

Losing Cotch , Lambert & Balta is huge.

Should be a decent crowd Saturday twilight.

Brisbane doesn’t travel well.
That’s why they are Geelong’s only top 8 scalp

What’s with the pessimism?

Geelong are our bunnies.

If it makes you feel better, do my favourite viewing order of our Dynasty.

1. 2017 QF against Geelong. An exciting, precocious Richmond Beat Geelong, straight through to the 2019 Prelim against Geelong.
2. 2019 Prelim against Geelong. A hardened, professional Richmond Beat Geelong, and make it into the 2020 GF against Geelong.
3. 2020 Grand final against Geelong. Richmond seal their Dynasty as one of the greatest ever, beating Geelong three times to win the Granny.

Geelong will be waiting on our likely team selections. If Dusty is included don’t be surprised if Rodney Plonkerfield is held back for another week. They won’t want to risk his confidence being shattered again.
As predicted! SuperCoach Scott was being less than honest when he pumped up the much anticipated Clash of the Titans a couple of days ago. Then when Dimma said our Dusty might still only be operating on 3 cylinders it was all too much for the Handbag brigade.

Their sole strategy now is to win the 2022 flag by avoiding the Tigers at all costs.

I can watch that all day. Can't decide which one is my favorite.

When was the last time we beat them in the H&A? If my memory serves me correctly it was back in 2018.

We have never beaten them in any of our premiership years during the season.

We beat them in Round 17 2020 when Soldo did his ACL.

Covid year so it was played at the Gold Coast with shortened quarters.... The shortened quarters weren't enough of an equaliser so Steve Hocking then changed the game to AFLX with the Stand Rule.
