I thought Dan was average at best in the 2019 Season, but reading Konrad's book it seems Dan was doing exactly as asked.

No doubt we supporters assess a players performance in a certain way
But to the coach, selectors and the team itself - an individual player is required to perform a role - and Rioli clearly did that last year.
Like to see him perform the required team role and still kick 3 goals against North this weekend

Also more difficult as we only see the game on TV now so we can't see how the ground is set up by each side. Very frustrating.

He has some stiff opposition up forward to get a kick ,Jack, Lynch, Higgins ,Castagna etc but it is when he gets it is what counts.

It was my belief that when Balme came back to the club in 2017 there were more changes at selection than ever before. I think Balme is in Melbourne. Is he no longer on selection committee. No more brave calls at selection table. Same players getting games gifted to them. Have we gone back to the bad ole days. Is Dimma trying to defend our premiership and is he forgetting what got us there.?

But his chasing & tackling & pressure doesn't seem to be at his normal levels. If you aren't getting much of the ball this has to be through the roof. Come on Dan kick 3 this week & harass the hell out of their defenders.
