Changes v lolNorf

That's being generous. When he does "impact" it's pleasing but there is a quantity criteria too.

Someone must have missed that memo for Castagna for all those years. Wasn't pressure the major barometer? Rules for thee and not for me.

We need to get realistic here. Imo Castagna has been gifted games in the past but he's never had such a bad run of offensive input that MRJ has had. He had 1 efficient disposal. For his own confidence he needs to find some ball at VFL level. It's detrimental to his progress. He'll be back, he's not even 20.

North were 26pts up at 3/4 time against Collingwood last week. With a new coach the North players will lift to prove themselves worthy of being on the list next year.

If they are that far in front of us at 3/4 time and the way our 4th quarters have been this year we could be out of finals contention come the final siren.......

Our 4th quarters have been pretty good this year. Won 9, lost 7. Won 7 lost 3 since round 6. Some good bags of goals too.

Wasn't me putting Castagna in the 22 ... I rolled over on here as the more learned had him as essential until 6 weeks ago.

He was awful...but others worse...the entire small foward line was woeful
It is not simply about what he did against GC.
He doesn’t have the basic skills, has never had them and there is no indication he is capable of learning them.

I am afraid George lost his appeal well before 6 weeks ago. For mine his speed confused for a while but his disposal has always been a problem.
He couldn’t improve and from the point of the introduction of the stand rule he basically was stuffed.

The changes look great on paper but thankfully we're only playing the bottom side because team's often stuff up with so many new inclusions.

How we use Balta & Gibcus intrigues me. Neither really natural forwards yet. Lynch is a huge hole to fill.

i think they both play forward this week. Balta needs to stay there for the rest of the year, or at least until we are out of contention, and play as 2nd ruck.
Gibcus stays there until Lynch, or maybe Dusty return, unless he plays bad.

not ideal for either of them, but best for the team.
