Changes V GC

The trouble with Jake Aarts is he is too good for VFL but not quite good enough for AFL no matter what the MC think
His lack of footspeed is his first issue at AFL level his second major issue is his slow and poor decision making.

Aarts back in & getting plenty of Flak. Now if he earns his spot with a good game Tigers win. Now R U Lot knocking him going to recognise his efforts on this site put your hands up & say sorry mate I got it wrong.

Wrote yesterday The Sonz should not play his debut game interstate, away from family and friends.
Some nitwit contradicted me.
A Richmond Man should debut on our hallowed ground.
Well to be fair Metricon Stadium was our home ground in 2020

These are the worst changes of 2022.

We will not win with Aarts and Castagna in the side. We are unlucky with forced outs and the unavailability of Stack, but we have selected a losing side.

Which is unfortunate with the season on the line.

Over the last 2 (2021 and 2022) years our win loss with Aarts in the side is 10-1-15 (win rate of 38%).

With Aarts out of the side, we are 8-3 (win rate of 73%).

Not sure he solves any problems.
dumb post. Spook beat me to it. Logic is anti-vax-esque.

The concern is that it shows that our young mids are not up to it. RCD is gone I reckon; as is Will Martyn. Dow may not be far behind them. Our drafting of mids in past few years has been poor.
Agree on the player calls, but not on the poor drafting call. you don't get the good picks when you're on top. Its a numbers game.

Look we all know FAarts is having to wait biding his time in the VFL waiting to take Dustys spot ;)

Only chance Aarts has is if the MC have told him as soon as you get hands on that ball, dont think...just boot it as far fwd as possible. If Aarts has to make a decision with ball in hand it will 9 out of 10 result in a HTB and turnover. Needs to play the Jackson role. Get it and just get rid of it our way!

If our MC were half smart they would use George as a tagging option on Touk. He aint getting the ball anyway but he can be told to make sure Touk doesnt either as he is the one that can do all the damage.

Why, when over that time period, he has generally been considered a best 22 player?

Until now, he has not been playing when the the team is weak, the team has been weaker when he's playing.

He was an almost automatic selection at full strength last year, and even this year was selected in round 1-3 with a mostly healthy list?

Always been a fringe player. He plays when we're undermanned. When you're undermanned you lose more games.
