Changes v Crows

Still can't fathom why Shai isnt in.
Was thinking this was a "selection blind" a la Sheeds and Shai would be a late "in".
Biut then i remembered Dimma doesn't do selection blinds.
Butler has been poor all year, and in the last two weeks since he returned, and particularly last week when he was again insipid.
I don't care how many "tackles" he recorded; that's what happens when you allow your opponent to get to the ball first so you can then apply "forward pressure" and get your tackle count up.
How about he wins a hard ball and has an actual score involvement of his own?
This Butler prioritising is doubling dangerous.
1/. Butler ain't up to it. Was lucky enough to get swept up in the Sept17 maelstrom. Has been downhill from there imho.
2/. Shai, who definitely is up to it, may rightly get pissed off and walk.

I would have given Chol, Bolton and Weller a run. Chol couldn't be worse than Soldo last week. Bolton was bog in the VFL and Mav whilst a journeyman might have given us a little bit of strength around the ball. Anything under a ten goal loss would be a good result looking at that team. Great for Dusty to be captain though.

I think Higgins is a victim of our injury list...he was fantastic last year for a first year player especially in the finals. He’s a gun, some second year let down but also having increased responsibility and attention

Looks like the bald headed flog is umpiring tonight.
I have the feeling that the bhf has ensured that not only he, but all umpires are going to be copping quite a few hpbald headed flogs over the fence for the next few weeks. Nothing gets a crowds back up more than being told ‘you can’t do this’.

Puzzling was certain he’d be a Shedda replacement at minimum and should playing over an out of form Higgins.

Committed a hugely selfish act in his last game that the players and coaches will have hated.

I'd say he will be a long time winning back faith.

And if you are right, was dropped for it.
And was promptly BOG in the 2’s and again banging the door down.
As opposed to Butler, who once more has gone back into his timid shell.
Butler actually looks like he desperately wants to be relieved of his senior duties as he knows he is out of form and confidence.
Shai is the polar opposite and i’ll take his belief and skill every day of the week, including Thursdays.

I reckon it was when we played Norfolk and a free kick was iPad to us twenty metres out.
Bolton grabbed the pill, played on , snapped for goal and missed what looked to be a certain goal ( castagna didn’t get the free).
It’s not his stats that matter in the VFL - even Butler gets 10 or more touches there- its the KPIs that the coaching panel value.

If Butler is playing in front of Bolton then the coaching panel need to adjust their KPI's.

Playing on from the boundary on your wrong foot in the rain with three guys hanging on to you vs George set shot from 20m. Hard call.

Long game is to develop a more team-oriented Bolton
