Cotchin and Riewoldt to play following week against North Melbourne in farewell game.
We need to get used to the idea that many of our favourites are well passed their best, that our sale of this years first rounder was a gross error that we have to live with,- and that we are in rebuild mode.

Jack won't be rested especially for this game - it is Maddie's game - his cousin. M Rioli jnr was under concussion protocol on weekend and maybe same next week. I don't think Dan Rioli will play with his ankle injury.

I missed it but watched about 2.5 qtrs on an ipad ,
Sampson by my count dropped 5 marks that were very gettable and to be inline for AFL promotion you'd have to take some of them
the conditions were near perfect , no wind , immaculate playing surface
I didn't mind his performance , but i think its a bit off where it needs to be , but I can see him making it
the byes , injuries and emergencies being held over have not been the friends of our developing players
and Sampson very much in that group , my belief is he needs a soft kill in the VFL to get his confidence up
the VFL game before Willy , Sampson came up against Meek , who was big and strong and beat Sampson and won promotion the next week
They probably will but is there any point to bringing back Cotch this week with the season all but done?
