Changes v Aints

The following from Dimma does not inspire much confidence.

He seems resigned to the fact that the inclusions may not perform all that well. Hope they prove him wrong.

What I got out of Dimma's press conference;

* Short will play
* With Short playing it will allow him to move Edwards forward of centre

He'd be right, just because the "names" come in doesnt automatically mean they and the rest of the team play well.

Of course Dimma will say that. He's not gonna say his returning players are gonna dominate

6 inclusions in one week is a lot especially when 4 of them haven’t played a game in over a month + shortly hasn’t played snice round 3

I am little concerned for Sundays game !

I've watched a couple of Saints games of late and they were pretty damn bad. Carlton v Saints game was one of the worst skilled games I've seen in a very long time. I am confident we will beat Saints no matter who we put there. Good game to bring our good players back from injury.

Teams are in. We've dropped 7 players!!!! o_O o_O

Extremely unlike Dimma. The only one I really disagree with is Baker; really can't believe he's been dropped. His form has been pretty good hasn't it? It certainly was in the first 10 rounds. How he gets dropped before Ellis is mind boggling. Also struggle to see how Short comes straight back after 3 months out.

Anyway it's the strongest team we've had for quite a while so hopefully it produces the result we need.

7 in, 7 out. No injuries, all omitted. That must be some sort of record.

We need to put some work into Gresham. He usually dominates against us. They way we've been going lately if we let him do so again it could result in a loss for us.

Baker and Naish stiff.

Has there ever been 7 omissions in the history of the world?

Bloody surprised we've gone the whole hog n made seven changes for this game. Guess Dimma n the match committee are loading up for bear hunting, get as many experienced seniors back n match hardened as quickly as possible. With the week off before finals start, it's made it just that little bit easier to come from lower in the eight n contest to Prelim or Granny, so they're probably looking to make certain we grab a finals spot somewhere, anywhere n work from there.

The youngsters have done a mighty fine job for us in helping us stay ahead of the win loss ledger, but it wouldn't surprise me if a few of them are struggling under the load at the moment. Great to see Stacka, pretty much owns a spot in the side so far n Cholly's been retained for another game.

Ha - I kept looking at this on the AFL website and kept logging off because I thought they hadn’t updated the ins and outs given the list was so long.

Then finally I realised that they had in fact made 7 unforced changes to the lineup, is that a first for the club?

I think they have done a pretty good job and well done Bolton to force his way in and Chol for holding his spot with so many changes.

Of all the changes, I reckon only Baker would consider himself an unlucky (out) and maybe Short a lucky in so to me that says the selectors have done a pretty good job.

Naish and Baker stiff.

Rioli would want a good game.

Our VFL team will cause alot of issues for the Saints 2's this weekend

Cant believe Baker dropped - pretty stiff i wud think. Straight back in if somebody underperforms (looking at u Ellis and Rioli and maybe Short)
