I grew up in Derrimut Street Albion & up the end was Selwyn Park where Sunshine played in the Metrpolitan League before they joined VFA. Jack "Chiggy " Chigwidden was the Fuhrer there not only on football but cricket as well. I played Sunshine under 16 & 18's Footscray Football League prior to my joining the RAN in 1956. Coach was Eric Huxtable former Carlton Premiership player & those games were played at Barclay Reserve. It was no holds barred with teams from Braybrook, West Footscray, Newport, Spotswood, Seddon etc etc & of course Parkside.
