We’ve well and truly handed the baton over.
And the President says we expect to play finals in 2022 ? Way to put a sandbag on a new coach’s back before they’ve even started you idiot !

What if a prospective coach believes they may need to take a step back before they can go forward ? List changes, new game plan, new assistants…. oh but you’ve gotta play finals.

What a dhead. What a total rabble they are.

True. As they've been matching our bad days for 37 years, the next stage for them should be Ninthton.

Reactive game plan. Abrupt attitude. Never really improved the club as Harvey built it up.
I’ve heard he’s very taxing on the assistants, the players get worn down by his conservative game plan and is a bit of a dictator around the club. Doesn’t always treat people that well. Maybe he’s learnt a bit and can improve. Seemed to reference that on FC last night.

Yeah quite obvious. Hope Fly doesn't get the Scumwood job as we need some humour on both these clubs next season.

Heh heh heh. I dunno. A lot of people confuse driven, high pressure people as aholes, especially in demanding high performance environments. Sheedy was a classic. Could be caustic. Brutal with people. Lot of players couldn’t handle him. But he drove success and was respected by many for the way he could get the best out of people, regardless.

Yep I dont think the great Tom Hafey wouldve been a powder puff behind closed doors !!

Juddy was right after all.

Even he's distancing himself from the joint after making his bazillions.

Sheeds used to talk about Tom all the time. Loved the man and used a lot of his principles in his own coaching although Sheeds, really, was his own man.

Was watching the new President talk. Geez, if I was a blues supporter ( thank *smile* I’m not), I would be pretty depressed. Uninspiring and a bit out of touch with reality. They will be a rabble for many years to come with that sort of leadership

I hope that this is true.

A phone call to a few player managers wouldn't be a bad idea.

"A group of key players made an 11th hour bid to keep David Teague as coach earlier this week.

Although the last-ditch effort was ultimately unsuccessful, CEO Cain Liddle was left in no doubt that several important players would have preferred the board keep Teague for 2022.

Among the players to voice their support were the Curnow brothers, Sam Walsh, Harry McKay, Jacob Weitering and Nic Newman.

Adam Saad, Zac Williams, Caleb Marchbank, Liam Stocker, Liam Jones and Tom De Koning are also believed to have spoken favourably of Teague in the review."
