Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

it does appear he was well supported, i guess i can understand why a 21yo small who hadnt played a full season in 2 years (at the time he left) would take more money and a longer contract elsewhere. if he stayed at Richmond on the last year of his contract and struggled for games, whether cos of injury, issues with his brain, or just kept out of the team by the likes of Baker, Bolton and ShEdwards, his career could have been over.
He took the guaranteed extra year to be able to prove his worth.
His nowhere near Bolton, not even close to Edwards and I would still pick Baker ahead of him.
We might be *smile* right now but I can't see him being an automatic best 22 with us.
The uncontested/over the back crap doesn't work for us because both lynch and Riewoldt are super slow.

CJ named on the bench for Norf. Assume he,ll play back up to Goldstein now Xerri is injured.

Did anyone watch last night's game North v Freo? How did CJ go? I saw he kicked a third of their goals, 1.

I sort of can't believe I actually thought he was going to be ok with us.
Got a few taps against 2nd ,3rd stringers. Nowhere near it with Darcy.
66% time on the ground as opposed to 48 yr old Goldstein 96%.... unfit, no good, dunno?

Would be impossible playing in the North forward line at the moment. The thing is I dont think he has a snowflakes chance of becoming a good ruckman. He just cant jump.

Around the ground he might be ok.

I'll go back to my previous comments about him and declare he is a slightly taller Adam Pattison. I think he has 3 years left in the AFL

The irony is that he left because he thinks he IS a ruckman. Totally agree, ruck / forward in the David Hale mould for me.

I’m starting to feel sorry for CJ, dropped last week, he now can’t even make Norths squad of 26.

Yeah I am happy to eat my words on this topic. I would prefer Jack plays till he is 40, even if he cant jump over this guy.

At least he's getting the money.

Yeah agreed. He's getting what he wants, which was more contract length and money. The footy stuff, well blind Freddy could have told him that was a raffle at Norf, but the fact that he's not ahead of the corpse of Goldstein or Xerri (who they were considering letting go last year) says a lot about where they see CJ at.

Remember those days when we would recruit a player who wasn’t quite there at another club thinking we had made the trade of a lifetime and they would lift us off the bottom - only to realise there was a reason they were fringe players and we had actually bought in another dud.

Remember when we would draft in a top pick, thinking they would lift us up the ladder, only to see the club self destruct when there wasn’t an immediate lift in wins.

I remember.

ah yes. the common classic. He's a very good player that just can't kick.
Don't worry, we'll get his kicking right and we'll have a great player on our hands.
While thinking why didn't the current club think to try fixing his kicking.
