Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

At 21yo I'm happy to see how he can improve. I don't see any of the other youngsters doing better than what he's don this season at this stage. Personally I don't think he's a midfielder, definitely the high forward role and he's done much better than the likes of RIoli this year.

As for not setting up anything for us, he's 3rd for the Tigers for average score involvements this year (Lynch, Bolton) and 3rd for goal assists (Edwards, Lambert).

hes also coming 6th in PRE footballer of the year, which is the most astute and democratic award in football

Seriously what does he bring to our side?
Very slow
Very poor decision maker
Can't kick further then 30 metres.
If its good enough to bag and drop Rioli, its time he has a spell.
Aarts is in everything
Castagna non stop pressure and run.
He got me angry last night.
6 touches 1 tackle,
But watched Brisbane defenders mark 22 times.

There's a few rough edges skill wise but he also does some fantastic things where you blink & you've missed it. Has a very high footy IQ.
That said if all players were available I'm not sure he'd be in the best 22.

I think he's a better mid-forward rather than a forward-mid (to use Dimma's vernacular re Bolton). Problem is there doesn't appear to be much room in the midfield, so he's spending a lot of time forward.

Agree. Plays his best footy when playing that mid-forward role. His kicking is his weakness.

Not getting much of the ball but seems to be around the ball alot chasing and pressuring making it hard for defenders to clear. He's playing the rioli role of low possession but closing down space in our forward half.

Think it's easy to forget the magnitude of his illness and the very fact he's even playing is a credit to him. Can't say I've seen him shirk a contest and I reckon it'll all click sooner rather than later!

At the doggies game the other week there was a flog sitting behind me wearing a Blues guernsey (why he was there I have NFI). He called Higgo a soft *smile*. I lost it. I informed the said flog (in perhaps a manner that I would now describe as aggressively) that not more than 12 months ago, that soft *smile* had his brain split open on an operating table. Flog backed away like a typical blues supporter saying "aww, sorry mate, didn't know that".

Whatever you can say about Higgo, his courage isn't something you can question.

6 touches in a 7 goal win.
Just not good enough

I think Hardwick dropped him when he ran into goal and kicked it straight to a Brisbane player.

he's been ok, but a good game for him to have a rest. no travel and a longer break before the Suns. smart out i reckon.

I think Jack was pretty stiff. Been good and consistent all year.

being amidst a dynasty,

you have a heap of stiff blokes.

Can he at least work on his running into Goal kicks. Two weeks in a row it has looked liked he has passed it to the opposition player in the goal square while shooting for goal. Its frustrating watching it

Ok, enough of that stuff, Hugh Riminton will be asking Dimma about these "stiff blokes" at his next Presser.

He was dropped - not managed (like Cotchin). He needs to find form.

Has been good until last game but it did look like he needed a rest. It's not really a matter of finding form this year with limited opportunities to play. Rioli a case in example. He's not coming back to due to miraculously finding form somewhere. Same as Stack, he didn't come back in because of good form.
