Bulldogs v Tigers - Gameday Thread

Shai Bolton has kicked like 23 goals 24 behinds for the season.

Thats not good enough for a player of his elite abilities,.

Most of his misses are set shots.
Correct Craigy, must improve those stats, he's a beautiful kick but doesn't trust himself enough on those set shots, needs to put the head over the ball and just follow through, its a fairly simple skill.

He’s similar his entire career.

A huge hole in his game that has never been corrected.

Indoor stadium and yet we fumble, slip over, hack the ball forward, butcher the ball, fall over after a marking contest…it’s just amateurish.

Our gameplan is horrible and irrelevant in the modern game.
…but apparently the players are happy with it.

Did anybody else see the the splash of water when the Dogs player kicked the ball off the ground? Why is the ground wet?

I'm more convinced than ever that we need to reset. There are too many who play like millionaires. Some awful habits with fundamentals ignored. No names at this point. When we are mathematically out of it, I am ready to cut loose on a few big names. (reaches for a panadol)
We are seeing a disciplined team working as a unit tonight and another team ignoring the basics. Suspect quite a few have been putting themselves above the coach and team rules.

Much Better quarter. Still some low IQ stuff out there. When going for a ground ball and you are wearing an opponent dont try picking it up to handball to a team mate when a tap to them will do. Don’t handball to a team mate 5m away who is under the pump. Look for a 15m kick to team mate to take a mark and relieve some pressure instead of a hospital hand pass. When tackling try and strip the ball loose, we may get a dropping the ball. When defending near oppo goal line PUNCH IT THROUGH instead of tapping it back in front of goal. It does my head in watching some dumb *smile* happen out there. If we can get the basics right we are in this.

Yep have done them myself it doesn't hurt theatrics
Dislocated one of mine on a Saturday and than again on Tuesday at training. Both times I just popped it back in.
Bloody sore, especially second time around but he was screaming for a trainer like he had snapped a femur.

Reckon we have the poorest overhead making group in the AFl.
As well as the worst ball handlers. Might have something to do with our chaos game plan of just move it forward at all costs. No need to be clean just apply pressure. Now without the elite pressure we don't have the skills to play any other way

I hope our next coach can see some value in a tagger.

Oppo guns just get off the chain and we have no answers

I think we were spooked by what Port did last week. Hopper looked fine as did Treloar who is still playing. This on top of resting Dusty. Madness.
