Interesting, Tyson Fury is encouraging Anthony Joshua publicly, to not activate the rematch clause with Usyk, in order for Fury himself to line up a unification fight with Usyk, for undisputed heavyweight champion of the world status.

The logic he is selling to Joshua is that if Joshua loses to Usyk again, his career is essentially over. The big fights won't come again and he either needs to retire, or just becomes a nomadic journeyman fighter. If Fury defeats Usyk (well he said, WHEN he batters and defeats Usyk), he said he'll offer Joshua his most lucrative match up ever, batter him, then retire and leave it to them to fight it out for the scraps.

Fury's right. Joshua should not go in against Usyk again straight away. I like his plan.

Just finished watching the Taylor v Catterall fight. What a complete disgrace of a decision. Catterall totally won that fight. All the commentators, guests, crowd etc totally shocked. Threw something like 100 more punches with a 15% better connection rate, must have won at least 7 or 8 of the rounds and really punished Taylor.

This is the problem with boxing: too many outrageous decisions like this that suggest impropriety. Absolute disgrace.

Geezuz even the promoter has just said he’s embarrassed by the result.

Nakita Tszyu. Verdict is he hits harder and sharper than his brother Tim, but leaves himself more open. If he keeps that style of fighting he would need a good chin.

Although Nakita looked very encouraging, Too early to tell how good he will be I suppose. Not sure on the standard of the opposition last night. If indeed his habit of leaving himself a bit open is going to be a problem, this particular opponent probably wasn't skilled enough to exploit and test this flaw.

Looks like George won't get his wish to fight Loma (another reason to kick Putin in the nuts!) so that puts Haney back in the frame again. Unless George goes after bigger money and agrees to fight Garcia (8.5M followers on twit) should Garcia prevail against Tagoe on April 9. Those look like his options unless he takes a keep busy fight against a lesser name. Tank definitely isn't an option as Mayweather wants to keep him fighting boxers in his own stable. Let's hope we see George defend his titles this year, June at Marvel stadium isn't that far away.

What’s our thoughts on the result of George vs Haney?

The bookies have Haney at $1.70 and George at $2.20. Haney not as hard a puncher as Lopez. But very skilled and fast.

Great day of boxing today. Atmosphere was great. Haney was too good on the day. A very measured boxer. Didn’t let George get into a slugging match.

Fair enough. So many aren’t.

Could Ferocious win a re-match you reckon ?
I heard Haney is moving up a weight division so not sure if the rematch is even possible.

If there was one, George would have to be more aggressive. Haneys reach caused George massive issues. There were a couple of moments where George was looking like getting on top but Haneys defence was top class.

So with Haney moving up a division it would mean a free-for-all among the top contenders in the division to secure the belts. So we perhaps go back around the merry go round where George, Lopez and Lomachenko (all previous holders) are scrapping it out for the lightweight belts.

That’s correct. Haneys promoter said after the fight that he will move up a division which means he will relinquish all of his belts and they are to be fought out individually.

Jeff Fenech finally awarded 4th World Title after decision in bout against Azuma Nelson in Vegas overturned.

Congrats Jeff. Watched that fight, and he was robbed

Yeah, easy to do that now. Does it also come with his share of the winners purse plus interest?
