It's too early to tell with some players RR. I've put 'U' for them. Hope that's OK.

Something I don't quite understand is that people (not only the baggers) are happy to credit Beck with the Fioras and Pettifers, but praise Miller for getting Johnson and Blumfield.
What stage do Becks duties end and others take over?

Scotty was delisted due to injury problems. Not sure if he's playing now but his Dad said it's likely he'll never be able to play again.

I don't think the exercise proves much. It's easy to rank players with 20-20 hindsight vision. A more interesting approach would be to put, say, Brisbane and Port Adelaide drafts up against ours and see how they compare.

On this analysis I'd give Beck a 40% hit rate.

Gas debuted in 96 so he must have been picked up in the 95 draft or 96 pre-season draft. Can't remember when Beck joined us exactly. Similarly with Tivs who debuted in 98. Also weren't Tivs and AK on the supp list first. Doesn't really matter as the point is Beck got them to the club and they are vital players in our side now.

Never one to pass on a bit of Beck bashing so here are my thoughts.

1998

Ray Hall - yes
Craig Biddiscombe - no, RFC got shafted on this deal
Rory Hilton - U
Greg Tivendale - yes

1999
Clay Sampson - no

Mightytiges: Gaspar debuted for Sydney in 1996 adn then we took him in the 96 draft after his debut year.

Shawry I'm going on the AFL stats site. Gas debuted in 94 for Sydney then played his first game for us in r2 96. Stewy Maxfield went to Sydney and we picked up Gas from them with the pick we got in return from memory.

Gaspar was recruited in the preseason draft of 1996
We lost Maxfield (who left for the $$$$) and picked up Gas as a priority pick.

What was the story with Lambert going. Was it for money too? Did we get anyone for him?

OK well i *smile* up then. Must have bee n1996 preseason draft i guess.

Sorry i didnt know my facts on the dates jsut knew he played for Sydney first and then came to us.

Lambert left as he was disillusioned with the club. He wanted to go to carlton but a suitable trade could not be offered. Incidentally carlton offered us there captain, Brett Ratten, who was a back pocket battler in those days and we refused. He ended up going in teh preseason draft and picked up by Brisbane, we got nothing for him which was very disappointing.

You've proved a great point rampaging - that Beck is a complete hack and has sunk our club. If 60% is what their aiming at then I've got him at 25%, mind you I was quite generous with some players. Stats do not lie!!!
