LBJ putting on a clinic. Has been great. But one of the great all-time over exaggeraters when it comes to injury. The number of times he goes down like shot when he clearly isn't is incredible. The indulgence is off the scale. He is an amazing player but it's that aspect of his game that is just so unlikeable. I don't recall any other elite player behaving like that in the NBA.

In other sports Djokovic is similar, incredible players and athletes but the feigning of serious injury is completely over the top and I think one of the key reasons they are polarising.

End of the Warriors dynasty? I think so. Sad it had to be at the hands of the Lakers. Hope Denver sweeps them. I think LBJ is the GOAT - but hate his carry on, his overt favouritism by the refs and the fact the he can travel with impunity.

Ben has carried a heavy load since the series loss to Atlanta but maybe it was Embiid who was the flake & not Simmons all along. Now remains a question over him in big games..

Well done Boston.

Back in ya box Philly!:)) Well done Celtics; great comeback from 3-2 down. Tatum massive!

Let's sort out the Heat and then get banner 18!

Damn. The Embid v Jokic matchup won’t happen. The finals lack a lot of interest for me now that’s done and dusted. Denver v Boston as good as it can get now. Go Nuggets!

I preface this by saying I dont follow the NBA that closely, and Im not an NBA expert like I am with the AFL, but- wIth 6 mins to go in game 6, the sixers were looking good, and things were falling into place. then they stopped scoring. A game 7 wipe out like this was always on the cards- they just have the ability to play offence like they are playing in mud- whether that is down to Embiid, or Harden or just the result of the collections of players they have who knows.
I dont think a game 7 loss in the semis to a quality team like the Celtics should be seen as a failure, but getting blown off the court the way they did means it should be.

And how good was Tatum- having a guy who can shoot 3s and score in iso plays is a must in high pressure finals games.

I want to like Ben Simmons, and I want him to return to the court and have success, but seriously. He is potting his old team who just made game 7 of the semi finals, after they swept his team, and he sits on the couch. He should be worried about his own future and not his old team.
He has copped an extraordinary amount of hate for the way they got beaten by Atlanta. Embiid slapped him on the way out when he too was *smile*.
*smile* Joel. He's also failed on the big stage. Simmons deserved to give a bit back. It doesn't just come down to one player.

It's a bit of a *smile* headline- Embiid says something like-"I've got to do better, me and James have got to do better, we all got to do better," when asked he and Harden will play together again, and if they can win together.

They were the two worst players for the Sixers & the highest paid.

Embied is a terrific player but he is not necessarily one who brings teammates into the game. And he only took 9 shots in Game 7! He's really just a huge man with a decent
jump shot. He has a pretty good defensive game too.

But, the Jokic is a baller. Does it all.

You can like Jokic- he is a good player- but dont rubbish Embiid.
"really just a huge man with a decent jump shot" is nonsense. Have you seen him dribble- he has the best footwork of any big man in the NBA. He would be close to the defensive player of the year if he wasnt the centre of the offense. He is probably the only player in the league that teams change the way they play at both ends to counter his impact. The Celtics changes their starting line up swapping a scoring guard to bring in a 2nd centre just to reduce Embiid's impact going in to game 6.

Ultimately the Celtics decided Embiid wasnt going to beat them so they sent doubles (or triples) at him at every opportunity, and the rest of sixers, including Harden, couldnt hit the buckets needed to make them change that strategy. (and credit to Horford- his defense was also outstanding when the help didnt come.)
