Axe time for Frawley?

I doubt the club will sack Frawley before his contract expires but I wouldn't be surprised if he fell on his sword. Surely someone as 'honest' as Frawley can see that 14 wins from 44 games is not good enough.

Agree TF. If he's honest with himself he should resign after round 22. In fact if he has the best interests of the RFC at heart he should tell Miller and the board inhouse that he's going so they can begin searching.

...

I lost the faith with Spud a while back. Not early / mid season when we were gutted by injury but later on when we were able to put a respectable team on the park but were continually playing this stifling, defensive game of football. That kind of football was never going to get us anywhere.

I had the opportunity to watch Danny Frawley when he attended our local junior club many yrs ago and what an absolute waste fo time. The club president ahd more idea of how to communicate to kids and at that time he was an AFL development officer. The guy clearly has no credibility and based on the past 44 games he does not appear to have any credibility with the players. HE MUST GO! At the same time he should take his team with him. Get rid of the dead wood and start afresh. Terry Wallace....hmmmm there is a ready made coach. He did a great job with what he had at the doggies and having playe din so many finals he knows what it takes and listening to him on radio he is very astute. What a thought from a Spud to a Plough!

Danny Frawley saw it fit to tell Matthew Knights he wasn't good enough to lead the Tigers.
Danny Frawley embarassed Knighter into ending his career before the end of the season.
Both moves were made to demonstrate what a ruthless tough leader of men Frawley is.
So I'm sure Frawley will understand when he's called into the CEO's office and told that he is no longer required but he never delivered the improvement in the team that he said he would when interviewed for the coaching job.
Frawley be man enough to say I deserve to go.

Here's a thought for you all.....

Had Knighter been playing till the end of the season, then he would've deprived Coughlan of his opportunity. Good foresight Frawley......

he is currently at a dead end. Players know if they're going to be traded, and just look at Bowden to see how pathetic he's playiong to realise that the attitude of pathetic players such as Bowdo, Pettifer, Hiulton etc, is beyond the coaches reach. these attitudes haven't been changed by four coaches and I for one would say Walls was a good coach. Just goes to show that the coach can only do so much.

make it simple for Frawley, u can stay but if u dont make finals next year, ur out

see what he did for burke on the weekend, what did he do for knights

As far as im concerned Frawley has severley under achieved in the past four seasons he has coached but there are not alot of great coaches out there who richmond could get.

Eddie G makes a valid point. Maybe we should all consider that the problem may be higher up.
