Jackmond has explained the social media silence re The Rancid One.
Unfortunately it's on The Hun's paywalled section and can't be viewed by mere mortals.
If anyone can paraphrase for the rest of us, would be much obliged.

Says he was in contact with Rance just as recently as today, Rance is happy, he trajns when he wants to, he leaves work when he wants to.

Re the social media outcry over the lack of SM from the players he referred to Dimmas comment that the players did via phone calls and that the players are connected like no other club.

but but Ricky Nixon said he was caught in a 4some with Mrs Hardwick, Peggy and the unofficial 2017 Premiership Medallion model. Surely Jack is just lying

Are you protecting Tiger Stripes Dyer? Central to the whole thing according to my sources.

My sources tell me he wasn't directly involved, just acting as the cheer leader and helping to steady the pyramid they tried

Here is a conspiracy theory - Rance retires and gives up reportedly $1.4m and his full time job. Divorces his wife who takes half his assets.
Once settled he asks for his old job back at maybe $5-600K p.a.

That was the reason Gary Ablett senior took the year sabatical back in the day wasnt it.

Were our match day drummers forming a guard of honour, rising to a crescendo as the pyramid pinnacle was achieved @Baloo ?

Just posted it on the JOURNOS board, but not much was really said.

For all those who continue to gossip re Rance and Higgo’s missus, Not that it means much but Higgo has liked a post of Rance on Insta. If and I mean a huge if something happened there then it seems Higgins has moved on. Let’s move on and forget about rumours. They only hurt people more.

Pitty it wasn’t Jenkins.
“Haven’t you taken enough?”

Rancey certainly doesn’t do things half hearted. Bloody door knocking??!! Far cry from wearing the mighty yellow and black in front of 90k. But I guess whatever floats your boat.

I’ve known people who felt a strong sense of urgency to restore/maintain credibility within their church circles. It might be unlikely Rance can plan again without their approval. Maybe next year?

From what I gather , they pretty much have to do it , ( door knocking , spreading the word) its a big part of their service to god

He may have got some leeway due to his football earlier , and is possibly a big part of what made him feel like he isnt giving enough

Time to move on. He is still on the list because it is prudent to leave him on it. On the off chance that he does decide to come back, the mechanism is there to accommodate him. We all know there is a 95% chance it is over. Good luck to him in retirement.

As a club, the challenge is not to contend this year or next year, it is to contend most years. We never want to see another period like 1983-2016 again. Sooner or later, we have to move on from all our stars and sometimes the end comes quicker than anyone is expecting.

Everything we do should be about building a team for the next ten years now. We are all going to miss Rance and it will always feel like his career ended before we were ready for it. That’s life. Losing him frees up the money under our cap that might just extend success for a few more years.

Reckon the club has started this process with most of the older VFL players departing and we will be playing mainly kids

If Rance wants to walk around with copies of Awake and The Watchtower trying to grow the flock then okay. Wonder if he wears tigers socks or t-shirt under his neatly pressed attire?

We are in the window to win back to back and 3 in 4 years. The time to strike is now and Rance could be the difference, which makes it so disappointing.
