Could not go to the game tonight, but watched it on TV.

All I can say is this. Of the team I watched tonight, Nahas would be the only player I would want to keep. Maybe Deledio, but the rest...what else can I say.

Pity the new coach who will have to try and correct the just so many errors this team perpetrates. Handball crazy to players under the pump, kicking astray, fumbling, you name it...every mistake in the book.

As so many others on here have said, the years ahead do not look too bright, I'm afraid.

I only watched on tv too Gray, so will be interested in comments from those at the game, but I am astounded you'd question keeping Lids.  I thought he was our best player tonight by the length of the Flemington straight...and then some.

Agreed Rosy, clearly our best player by a mile.

164 Supercoach points (when anything over 100 is considered a good game), so couldn;t have been too far off stellar!

yep we were pretty woeful again.

i thought our players had a real go tonight but our skill errors killed us as usual.

at least half our team are shocking kicks.

if hinkley does become coach at least he comes from a club that historically has always been highly skilled,so he will know the value of only playing players who can kick properly.
i think he`ll be horrified at what he sees when/if he gets to the club.

Given the amount of errors (turnovers) made by Richmond, it seemed strange we were still in the game half way throught the third term;
Major turning point, the Tambling turnover on centre wing: Can anyone please explain what he was trying to do?
Half a minute later, the Franklin bump on Cousins and the reversed free kick resulting in another goal to Hawthorn.

After tonight, the Richmond City Council may well be reconsidering which property development gets the nod at the corner of Punt Rd & Brunton Ave.

Is Simmonds for real? Those leaps make me laugh. Is he trying to catch something from the sky?

This bloke should be announcing farewell in the next 10 days.

36 disposalsfor Lids, clearly our best player this evening.
As for the rest well...thought mc guane tried to bust the game open a few times, and nahas was good too..the rest you could stack them 10 high at the tip.
sorry ..just feeling depressed once again

Dunno but I'm reasonably positive. A lot of our kids played good solid games:
Rance, Edwards, White, Jackson, Nahas, Polo, Tambling and of course Deledio. This is the only way forward for the club.

I think better composure and decision making will come with time.

I finally realised what Wallace meant with 'unfinished business' back in 2004.

He wanted to holiday at our club for 5 years, enjoy his fatcat salary, and just drill basketball tactics into footballers to make our club look even more laughable than ever before.

Watching those sickening hand..passes made me feel like I was at a Melbourne Tigers game tonight.

Wasn't too fussed over tonight. What really was highlighted was that we need some class in the midfield. We win the ball often enough but the likes of Jacko, Tuck, and Whitey just turn it over too much.

At one stage around half time the Hawks had kicked 6.10 and the commentators said 5.8 were as a direct result of turnovers.

Half our problem is not so just our lack of disposal skills, but we don't take the high percentage option. We dish off to who ever is closest rather than using better options. I think some people call it decision making, but we have had this short handball, here you have, habit for so long its not funny. I thought we'd got out of the habit for a while there under Jade, but as soon as the pressure is applied we go back to old habits.

You look at a couple of Lids handballs tonight and they were gems to players in space, but he is one of the few.

We just don't have enough quality user to rotate through the midfield yet to take the pressure of others, especially the defence, however I still reckon our midfield set up is poor.

Dont Know why everyone has ago at Whitey thought he kicked well tonight.

deledio and cousins seem to be the only blokes who know how to handball into space... every1 else handballs to a make the person flat footed.... no wonder we cant kick the ball when we cant even handball properly.

Please play vickery and post next week!

Obviously under instructions to play on at every opportunity, but the players clearly lacked confidence doing this and ran into trouble or made elementary errors with disposal and decision-making.

A month ago I was content that we were making the best of a horror season under Rawlings, but since then our cohesion (such as it was) has totally unravelled.

Don't worry replace Tuck & Jackson in the middle with Cotchin & Collins with Lids & Cuz FOley on a wing side will look a lot better.
