AFL flags score review 'bunker'

Like all things AFL the score review is half baked and not fit for purpose. The goal umpires are packing their pants and too afraid to make a call.
The technology :hihi and camera placement is sub standard for what is required and the AFL do nothing but deflect.

I wouldn't be surprised this coming finals series to see a football club get ripped off by the current pathetic system and lose a genuine tilt at the Premiership.
It had better not be us.

The goal line score review I can sort of accept, but the reviews of whether it was touched when it was kicked should be stopped. The feather light touch part of the game has never been there. If you touched it enough to make a sound it was paid normally. No sound then all clear.

Disagree. You see the fingers move or you don't. Good to get more decisions right IMO.

My dear Dad said to me many many years ago, "mate if you're going to do something do it the absolute best you can, or don't do it at all".

The AFL should take heed of that advice, because at the moment they are doing a lot of things very badly.

-- Score review system is just 1 of them

Lets forensically video review every decision by field umpires then shall we? After all they regularly make wrong decisions that lead to goals. ::)

Is that what I wrote? And I get the rolly eyes?

So you disagree with getting scores correct?

I get TOO's point. How far do you go? If an ump pays a mark when the ball is kicked 10m, should that be reviewed? It has the same impact as a touched footy that's called a goal, ie. a wrong decision that leads to a goal.

an apparition of the Virgin Mary was seen near the goals...

Slight touch off the boot upfield that doesn’t impact the kick is no different to a slight touch from the man in front before the guy at the back takes a big hanger.
