Ok i am impatient and looking at potential scenarios of our progression to GF basing it on top 4 win after an initial 1st loss.

If ladder remains the same:

If Richmond beat Bris we progress to the Prelim against Geelong (The other Prelim I have Port at home against Brisb).
If Richmond lose to Bris I see us going to a Semi against Bulldogs and then an away Prelim against Port:mad: (Other Prelim i have Brisb v Geelong)

If Brisb top and Port 2nd

If Richmond beat Port we progress to Prelim against Geelong (Other Prelim i have would be Bris at home v Port).
If Richmond lose to Port I see us going to Semi against Pies and a Prelim v Brisb (Other Prelim I have Port home v Geelong).

Week One:
  • 1st Qualifying Final: 1st ranked team hosts 4th ranked team
  • 2nd Qualifying Final: 2nd ranked team hosts 3rd ranked team
  • 1st Elimination Final: 5th ranked team hosts 8th ranked team
  • 2nd Elimination Final: 6th ranked team hosts 7th ranked team
Semis:
  • 1st Semi-final: Loser of 1st QF hosts winner of 1st EF
  • 2nd Semi-final: Loser of 2nd QF hosts winner of 2nd EF
Prelim:
  • 1st Preliminary Final: Winner of 1st QF hosts winner of 2nd SF
  • 2nd Preliminary Final: Winner of 2nd QF hosts winner of 1st SF

Easiest run for us is play Brisbane in the first final. Easiest by some margin.

While you obviously want to avoid adelaide and perth,

I dont reckon draws or outcomes concern Richmond.

Other sides need luck and cards to fall their way,

But other than injury, i just cant see anything stopping us going back to back.

We are significantly better than the other 7 sides left,

And we are still a month off peaking

I really want Port to win tonight. Not to avoid them in week 1 (they don't scare me), but to avoid Collingwood in week 2, should we lose in week 1.

pfft. without SIdebottom and Howe, the pies will not get within 5 goals of us in a final.

This is the stuff I am too scared to say out loud in case I put the mozz on us

Oddly, it is Geelong I most don’t want to run into in this finals series.... I need to run the scenarios where we don’t meet them and someone else can bundle them out.
They know this is last chance saloon and will go all out

Would love nothing more ant.

unpopular opinion but i really would have preferred a Tiges/Pies GF last year. Would have been closer but still would have a been a 40 point win to us. Instead we got that non-performance from the Giants. And seeing Eddie etc going through another loss would have meant more. Much more.

Oh I'll keep the 2019 flag, but I'm not happy about it.

I'd love to face them again too, they're nowhere near us and we might never get as good a chance as now.
In saying that I went to their PF last year and it was an absolute pleasure to watch them under-perform for 3 quarters then get so close.
There were a few of us Richmond folk surrounded by Pies at the Punt Road End, there were a lot of good times at the G last year and that was right up there:)

Don’t care who we play or where we play them, we are still clearly the best team going around and every other club would be fearing us a hell of a lot more then we fear them.

strange things can happen in sport , however :cupgold
