AFL Betting Thread

Been pretty queit this thread. Reckon we might have to liven it up tonight.

Outside backing against Freo, this looks to be the bet of the year tonight for leysy.

Got a fair bit of time for Port, but there game is totally unsuited to how the Saints are playing this season.

1) Pressure at the ball carrier is the key to rolling the Power, the Hawks dont do it & paid the price last week. Will be a different story tonight.

2) The Aints are tackling & playing like men possessed. The Power were also pretty happy with themselves after last week.

3) Another factor is the ground holding no fears after StKilda rolled a good Adelaide side easily a couple of weeks back.

4) The wet conditions will also suit the saints, whose major weakness is a lack of leg speed.

5) St Kilda's poor record against the power is only ensuring a better price, as this Saints teams style doesnt resemble anything like the past few seasons.

@ $2.10 Head 2 Head. Get On.

Hmmm. I tend to agree Port Phillip Bay. I have lumped on the Saints under 39.5 at 2.40.

Woohoo. Redemption is at hand boozy haze.

Took the 15+ for the sainters. Only disappointment is I didn't take a higher margin.

Got greedy, shoud have taken the 1.95 being offered for St Kilda.

What did Dyer'ere used to say? Punting Axiom 324, when you have a sure thing don't try and bleed it for another 50 cents.

Lesson learned.

Yesh tough one Scoop.

Leysy's been burnt backing winners but getting too cute as well.

Would rather load up more on the good things these days.

Who do we like tonight lads.

Good punting game, near even money the pair.

Mitchell has laid down the law to the Hawks during the week. They'll be desperate.

Only issue that may stop a win is Pavlich, Hawks are very light down back. Reckon he'll need to produce a big game for them to win. But he could.

Small bet on the Hawks for leysy.

Should be a good game actually. I took the Dockers in a small all up but nothing more than a passing interest. Hoping the recent good form of Schammer and Hasleby can give them enough drive.

Now I'm not a punters A-hole but I opened up a sportingbet account to have a go. Open the account with $30 and you get $100 credit. Fine I say. You can only use the bet once ( ie can't spread the bets). So I put it on West coast to bet the Dees at $1.22.

No problems, the Coasters win, I get a massive $22 but the initial $100 credit disappears! What a stooge! Another one of lifes lessons learnt for me.

LOL, I think I may have used a few of those 'free' bets during the last couple of years. They got me too, mate!

As previously mentioned I'm no punter but have been giving it a go lately. I put $50 down on the Doggies last night at $5.65 which even a mug punter like me thought were great odds, 2nd against 3rd.

Damn you Brad Johnson!

Its OK brother TigerTim, Good to have you on board.

Just keep your eyes peeled for leysy's tips. He's been keeping you followers profitable since Phar Lap won the cup.
