2024 Richmond Coach

Support the club process to reach the appointment. Think a fresh voice and different ideas from outside the club was needed for a range of reasons. Yze is well credentialed but time will obviously tell. Wish him (and us) every success.

Will be interested now to see what happens with assistant/development coaches and strength/conditioning staff. Would hope to see changes in both areas.

Recruiting already started by the look of things as we enter a really important phase ahead of 2024. One final thing, I’d hope to see a solitary Team Captain in 2024 & excluding either of the current co-Captains.

I thought that maybe tigers supporters would be interested in that news but obviously you *smile* have little cliques so I might call baci in here in 10 years time
No probs, just letting you know it looks like your name and email address are in the screenshot you posted.

Nah. Good job. Don’t worry about it. On PRE we argue or complain about whether it’s 22 degrees outside or 21.

Thanks for posting.

Congrats Yze. At 46, he’s on the older side for a first time coach. Trust the process I guess.

Personally, our list is well and truly in decline. Our youth is close to the worst in the league in terms of talent right now. I can’t see us being a genuine contender again without core group of talented player to build the side around like Hardwick did.

If Yze goes the long term view then I’d urge patience because things will undoubtedly get worse before they start getting better. If he goes the shorter term view, we may see some immediate results, maybe play finals again but we won’t be a serious challenger and will only make the inevitable rebuild longer and more painful.

Anyway, I wish him all the best

Think he was inked in well before finals started. Has a four year apprenticeship under Simon Goodwin so I think that would not pass a Pub Test. Anyway only time will tell.
