I know a lot of people pot the trades of Taranto and Hopper, but this draft wasn't a strong one.
Taranto essentially traded for Picks 14 (Elijah Hewett) and 22 (Max Grusewski) - At this stage looks a good trade, even allowing for the best performing players after these picks, you are probably looking at Weddle and Cowan.
Hopper went for Pick 34 (Toby McMullin) and our F1 (probably Caddy), but we got back 53 and 63 which I think were the picks that came in a bit to 49 (Kaleb Smith) and 55 (Steely Green).
Sure Caddy is a miss within that, but we didn't just get Hopper, we shouldn't forget that we added both Smith and Green through that trade / draft deal as well.
Ultimately, it seems to me to have been a good draft to trade out of. Lets hope we say the opposite for the 2024 draft, that it was a good draft to trade into.
