Putting the playing list on paper - we are awfully short on mature back-up rucks. Nanks and Soldo then diddly. Anyone going around that we could get as a rookie?
You definitely took the points there Leysy, well done. His contested marking is elite, I never really doubted that I just thought he was one of those guys who would take a screamer and then undo all his good work with poor disposal, got that one wrong but you live and learn.Yeah we differed on Naughton.
To answer your question re: after the siren kick - He's also the most likely to have the ball in his hands...
Agree scoop, the upside for all 5 is very high with the ability to get to best player status be for there positions. We got a top five pick, a top 10 pick, a top 20 pick. That’s a win. We added elite foot skills and pace. Tremendous crop.
Me too mate.Am all in on Samson. Reckon he has the goods!
On the 50/50 calls I think I would have taken Howes, I also had him in my top 20. I wonder how the tight the decision was, I reckon he was the next name on the list.Didn't expect Howe to slide to the dees. Was really hoping we would grab him with one of our 2nd rounders.
39. Melbourne: Blake Howes
Sandringham Dragons, NAB League / Parkdale FC / St. Bede's

Date of Birth: 07/04/03
Cal Twomey's Phantom Draft Prediction: 19
We have premiership ruckman Noah Balta too.Putting the playing list on paper - we are awfully short on mature back-up rucks. Nanks and Soldo then diddly. Anyone going around that we could get as a rookie?
Williams is slower than Redford on a Sunday morning.
I dispute both these claims.Fatter arse too.
I would rate this draft as the most boring.
I feel with such low numbers drafted.
Considering there are 18 clubs not to get to 100 new kids in the system is crap.
The AFL needs to stop worrying about fixing the game with ridiculous rule changes but concentrate how they get more kids into the system.
I reckon we will start to lose a lot more kids to soccer and basketball because the chances of getting onto an AFL list is just getting tooo hard.
Clubs should have 50 players on there list
What are you talking about - I hear some of Red's best work is done after midnight on a Saturday night.Williams is slower than Redford on a Sunday morning.
This was my top 20 from after the trade period 15 octoberWhilst alot could change from now until draft time with teams trading picks and certain players not being available at particular picks , I have had this 1st round pencilled in apart from 1-2 players moving for most part since trade period ended and just a feel of where certain players may go depending on clubs needs.

Can somebody explain to me why Daicos was not bid on until pick 4? Did GWS feel sorry for them after getting their #2 draft pick so cheaply? Why didn’t North bid on him? He was already signed up, why not make Collingwood pay top dollar?Colonwood have paired Crow eaters Draper and Murley. Done well considering their pecking order, could rival Melbourne for the best value for this draft
GWS has plenty of Academy players coming through and try to avoid the risk of clubs repaying the favour down the track. It took the Dogs till the 40s to bid on Fahey who was a top 25 pick on talent. Can somebody explain to me why Daicos was not bid on until pick 4? Apparently Banks & Sonsie was always our picks and considered trading up to get them after the attempt to get freo's #21 failed to draft Johnson. On the 50/50 calls I think I would have taken Howes, I also had him in my top 20. I wonder how the tight the decision was, I reckon he was the next name on the list.
What? You mean we were shocked they were both still available at our picks? We thought they'd go earlier? Fancy that.Apparently Banks & Sonsie was always our picks and considered trading up to get them after the attempt to get freo's #21 failed to draft Johnson.
