2021 Draft Thread

Either the club is confident our current young mids will do the job, or we've got someone lined up to come across in next years trade.

This years picks seems to indicate to me the club are looking at Jack's successor from within, maybe already within the team or on the fringes. Looking forward to the preseason to see
Gibcus still with forward potential, I'm hoping we can pull off a Naughton heist.

There have barely been any tall forwards taken. I don't think it indicates anything about Jack, just that the class in the tall forwards group this year was lacking.

I agree with some that I would have gone Johnson or Goater at 17. I think Brown is a bit like the Higgins pick in 2017 where we have a lot of competition for the same spot. However the club would know a lot better than me. Sonsie is a great get. Melbourne are elite now at drafting. JVR/ Howes are great value picks.

Green must be coming next year
Might have our hooks into someone agreed might not be Green but looks likely that we are probably into someone.

They are hoping for Riley to level up this coming season and Stacky also.

If Stack and Riley impact the side and footy next year we are in front I reckon

Geelong always seem to come up with some random selection, it was almost like no-one had heard of Chad Kroeger before.

You could be right but as I know nothing about the abilities of this years draft other than what I have read from comment I bow to others thoughts

Bloody Pies drafting some nice kids today. Daicos probably for unders, Draper for unders and Murley I think could be a really good pickup as that transition from mid to forward type player.

Colonwood have paired Crow eaters Draper and Murley. Done well considering their pecking order, could rival Melbourne for the best value for this draft
