2017 Membership Tally

So, it would appear that the theory of a good start to a season boosting membership sales significantly is proving so far to be a fallacy.
Trending pretty much the same as any other season thus far. Still 5k plus off the membership record.

Look the club's improved heaps this year but I'm not sure I want to help them that much

What if we sack Hardwick and get rid of Penny ?

Does anyone know if I can upgrade a three game membership? ;)

Call the membership department. They're pretty accommodating.

I don't know why they would say no to more money.

Good tip. I'm sure I can make a persuasive argument Coburger.

I'm not commenting on 3 game memberships Ant. Last time I did a troll popped up from under a hidden bridge. :hihi

Don't know if this has been discussed before (did a quick search but no recent results), but does anyone know what exactly is involved in the Club's "Reward and Recognition Program"?
There is zero info on the club website, except for when it mentions the program as part of your membership.

I don't need a new cap or scarf every year, but decided this year that my old one was getting a bit worn, and I'd given another one to my daughter.
So I roll up to the tent on Saturday arvo to pick up a new lid, and I have to say that those caps they gave out were one of the worst pieces of crap I've seen. It'll probably go straight in the bin.

I asked the bloke if I could get a Gold Member cap, but no, they are all the same. What ever happened to the Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum member scarves and caps? What is the reward and recognition for a 20+ year member?

I think the scarves or hats apply to all members.
I do know that you change from Gold to Platinum member at 25years.

I tell the club to keep their member merchandise, it is always poor quality. If you can't provide quality at a good price, then make the memberships cheaper and forget the crappy merchandise. Perhaps provide a better discount to tiger den merchandise instead as a member reward.

yeah, I agree. As I said, I don't often get the cap or scarf, but have bought merch from the superstore.

But what is the Reward & Recognition Program? What "reward" do I get as a Gold Member that a Silver Member doesn't? What can I look forward to as a Platinum Member?
Or is it just a con?

Spose I'll try calling the club on Tuesday

I actually thought the hats were good this year. And my Dad got the scarf, which I've pinched, and that's good quality too.

Isn't membership as simple as getting access to games and money into the club ?
yep, that would be fair enough if they didn't advertise "Inclusion into Richmond's Reward and Recognition program" as part of the membership packages.

I've just found the page on the membership site. The reward and recognition is a Gold Membership Card (which looks the same as my daughters first year card, but has Gold Member on the bottom) and an invitation to the cocktail party - I assume this is the same cocktail party for Silver, Gold, Platinum and Yellow & Black members.
