Thanks Disco.

Has anyone see the TV ads? I'm in QLD and rarely watch FTA TV.
Not as yet.

Hopefully there is a spike tomorrow with the open training session/intraclub.

Significant.

Agree. Amazing result, given the dross we served up for the last 6-8 games last year.

When we are 5 and 1, we will see those 2,800 renewing.

I think he meant it's a significant drop, not a significant achievement.

down 4.7%.

Considering we have been getting year on year growth over the last 5 or 6 years, it's actually probably around 10% lower than what they would of hoped for.

The club should be grateful to the fans that have renewed considering the tripe they dished up last season.
I thought it would be worse to be honest.

This club's got to avoid media hype like they copped every other pre-season for decades and start walking the walk.

I'm sure they would've budgeted for a loss in membership this season.

Yep almost 5% after year on year increases is a lot of dollars. Last year has cost us a lot more than just missing the finals. Momentum lost.

Starting to drop like a stone. Hope the membership ads kick in a bit of a boost. Need some better than good hitouts in the Peter Jackson/Gandalf/NADs games. Even if the churned memberships are only the $85 3 game type, that is about $270K less in the kitty thus far.

I think the thing which will worry the admin the most is that they have been going HARD at those who haven't renewed.

I haven't yet and have had emails, letters and phone calls. No communication avenue is being left untried, that's for sure!

Pity the club didn't put the same effort into the football dept over the years.
Stability, stability , stability.
Whatever happened to stability dear old Peg n Benny?

Plan to renew on the most basic membership so I get to vote at the AGM.
When the inevitable happens and Hardwick goes that should spell the end for most of the Board and chief culprit himself, Mr Benny.

same here. my original plan was to downgrade from premiership circle to GA 11. but after the recent board resigning's a couple of months after the election, I don't wanna sign up at all... but I'll probably end up getting a 3 game GA just to retain voting rights at the inevitable EGM.

I know what he meant - I was being a smart @r$e. My point stands. To drop off so dramatically in performance terms and still be close to 60k members speaks volumes for our loyalty.

As I also mentioned, our standing at Round 5 will be critical in winning back the loyalty of those who were disheartened by last year's performance. If we are less than 3 and 2, Benny will change the coach. Nothing is more sure.

Not a bad bump. Nothing to compare it to. Next comparison date Feb 23.

Yep, been getting to listen to Dion's dulcet tones every second day for a week(ish) now. He is one passionate Tiger!

No doubt we have our fair share of fair weather supporters, however the loyalty of most Tiger supporters should never be questioned, the big thing for me is the comparisons with the Dons and Blues membership numbers. Good work Tiges
