favourite bits were;

Caddy giving a special shout out to Taz and CC at the 1 hr 5 minute mark

and Swanny in the tiger scarf in the rooms (and eddies reaction)

Bump.

Must've watched the replay close to ten times, it's been a couple of days, i think i can hold out until new years eve :D

Have a look at the AFL web site today and read how Jake Kelly is hurting. Gee, Adelaide have taken it hard being defeated in the GF.

Over the years one team has always lost the Grannie and cannot remember a team being so distraught over losing as Adelaide have been.

Really, it is over the top big time. You lost, so suck it up and get on with life.

I don't think we handled '72 and '82 too well. At least in '73 we got revenge!

I think part of that is because they honestly thought going into that last game, they were head and shoulders the best team in the league ,

Everybody kept saying it , and i suppose when you hear it enough , you start believing it ,

the crash back down to earth was a massive one

I've been told the Adelaide boys blame the loss to over-confidence. Over *smile*ing confidence!!?? WTF had they done to be over-confident. Beating us in round 6 meant nothing in the back end of the season when we were by far the best team. Smashed our finals opponents and were playing the GF at the 'G where we won 12 of 14 and the 2 we lost we should've won. And they were over-confident!! I had a little sympathy for them after the game, but *smile* them!! Can't wait for round 2 when we smash them on their patch to prove beyond doubt they're gonna be our *smile*!!

They would have been getting their tires pumped up massively over there. When you look at it, though, for all the talk about how they were clearly the best side in the comp and well clear of everyone else, they were equal with Geelong on wins, losses and draws, it was % that put them on top.

Shame on you. Bloody soft, sensitive new age Tiger yuppie. Sympathy for the Devil only, all the rest can GanGF. Especially Crowbaits, Moggies, Carlscums n Essendrugs.

Half a lifetime of dragging the raggedy arse along the ground, copping crap off every team in the comp and the faux mocking sympathy from other supporters. No mercy, or forgiveness for any of them, the Tiger is back n only strut n swagger will suffice.

My sentiments exactly TM.

Yeah, pretty poor - I apologise.

Maybe it was the memory of how good it felt becoming premiers at the expense of Carlton and Collingwood that clouded my judgement.

Forgiven. Can't stay grumpy at a fellow Tiger for a small error of judgement while clouded in euphoria.

Also only half a win and percentage ahead of us.
Consider our close losses and factor in three strategically placed (or more accurately - removed) goals and we are 10 points clear on top.

What a day!
What a day!
The queues were a mile long at every pub in Swan st by 10 am.
Then off to the game, OMG it was tiger heaven.
The players really believed, just look at the team photo before the toss.
They all looked so relaxed, none of that Adelaide All Blacks stuff.
Just an amazing effort from all concerned.
Coaches, players, administrators etc.
Well done RFC!!
Now let's go back to back!

Yep, the differences in the team pics before the game really stood out, and the line of Crows while the anthem played looked like some of them were going to throw up. Even Text before they walked out was doing some sort of obsessive compulsive thing with tapping his legs etc. (almost like a hail mary or whatever they call it)

Our last three games last year, I did not feel crook in the guts (as per previous years finals) I felt a weird calm.

It was pretty awesome. :cupgold

:D :)
