First time he has had major game time and played 22 of 23 games. Laidley used him as a run with type but he is also pretty creative on the rebound. Will be coming into his prime this year.

me and Pharace were talking about him the other night - definately flew under the radar - would have said a handful of gaames - if someone asked me how many he played in 2008.

Hmmm interesting, must admit Laidley has proven handy at finding right positions for players. I personally always thought he was a run with player, but if he finds that consistency and can be creative, will take another look at him.

There is a genuine player to slip under my guard that I might have underestimated....a reason I was interested in this exercise.

Power, Sam.

Averaged 18 touches a week last year along with 3 tackles. Came of age and looks like he may get better again this year. Really good get.

Seems to have come at age since changing clubs to North.
He was one of two cards I was going to play this trick.
Hopefully I can play the other.

Reimeres and Power were my next two options... Bastards :p But I will forgive you this time. :p

We will throw you a smacko when it comes to the last player on the emergency list. ;D

Gee I am glad I finally bit the bullet on Reimers and didn't go...another temptation.... :smiledevil

Nathan Lovett-Murray.

A good ol fashioned kick up the A$$ should do the trick ;D

Great pick, another player absurd to not be picked yet. One I have been VERY close to selecting a few times. Great defensive/tackling pressure and height and possessions to boot (about 16 a game, which is not bad for a bit player and more importantly, bench player in this game).

I SMSed Pharace, and while I know he is trolling these pages, he thinks we are very secondary to his time so don't hold your breaths waiting for his pick guys. :stir :stir :stir :stir :stir :stir

Nash's stats stack up well against Reimers, he just doesn't wear wanky boots.
Mind you I thought both would be overloooked for another round or two.

N.L-M - same here. Just coundn't get him picked ahead of a few others - yes Dyer Dyer, a few others ;D

As his 2009 Player President, I want to say thanks to everyone for leaving him until now so that I could take my first Richmond player:

Shane Edwards.

I know for a fact that recruiting Shane is a certain recruiter's badge of honour. He has huge tickets on him - yes still has. This will be an important year for Shane, a year where he has stamp a little more authority in his play and consistency in his outcomes. He now has more competition than ever before, so work hard Shane. Your inate skills will never leave you.

OH yes, own up - who hasn;t yet drafted a Richmond player?

Your other drivel aside, fantastic pick. :hihi

Would have been close to top of my soon to be generated list for emergencies.

I have Tigermads picks so you current pickers...forget your lives and stay online. ;D

Good to see you inspired about something, I rarely see you so excited unless it is talking about a certain German student's....... >:D

You ought to ask my wife what my first love is. AFL footy that is. (So she laughs.)

BTW, my pick is Craig Bird - Swans

First year in AFL footy, near 300 possies in 21 games coming off the bench.

You had better keep a careful vigil - U2 is in love with Birdy - he'll kill for him I suspect. ;D

Yep, that was my other move. Hoping to snag him next. Back to the board.
