No apologies to the stat factory J.Bowden.
A strange comment, because IMO Bowden and Polo had almost identical games, with Polo just kicking the 3 goals being different.
Both team played the most unaccountable football I've seen in a long long time, so possessions in the end meant very little. Bowden as the attacking defender pushing the ball forward is what won Richmond the game I think.

J.Bowden's direct opponent, Scott Lucas, got 23 disposals, grabbed 10 marks and kicked 4.3. J.Bowden did everything in his power to lose Richmond the game by letting his opponent run rampage and therefore, IMO, wasn't entitled to votes.

Re: Player of the year Round 6 vs Bummers

3. Dean Polo - absolutely outstanding.
2. Andy Raines - Kid is going to be a sensation
1. Greg TIvendale -his turnaround in form has been spectacular..... i reckon he might be one of TWs favourites

Special mentions: Pettifer - 6 shots on goals and 12 marks as a forward flanker is outstanding. if he had of
converted he wouldve been BOG.
Bowden - geez he is a real rock in the backline - bleeds richmond.
Tuck - ever consistant

Re: Player of the year Round 6 vs Bummers

3 - Chicken Con Polo - WEll done fella. Great debut, looked so poised and natural. Great work.
2 - Joel Bowden - crucial
1 - Greg Tivendale. - Again looking good. Keep going and stick it up your detractors.

No apologies to the stat factory J.Bowden.

you mean the stat factory that backed his judgement and started the move that won the game?

:clap Beautifully said ant.  The crap i hear about Joel amazes me.  Is one of our top 3 players without a doubt.  His skill, poise, reading of the play, creativity, vision, etc... are beautiful to watch.  God forbid if he ever gets injured.  It is then that we'd see how much we miss Joel.  I can only imagine if he ever does play an average game the crap that would be said about him.  Disgrace.

GO TIGES!!!

Simmo is a big reason why we nearly lost the game.  I won't elaborate because it would be nasty.   :-X

1 j Bowden

Re: Player of the year Round 6 vs Bummers

3. Ralph Lauren POLO
2. Bowdo - Joel Variety (although if Lucas had of not missed that goal, I may have dropped you down one) :)
1. Friar Tuck

Sorry Rainesy.....Sorry....Simmo

Re: Player of the year Round 6 vs Bummers

3 Polo
2 Tuck
1 Hyde

Joel was good but had 5 goals kicked on him and played a bit cute at stages which resulted in a couple of extra goals from Lovett. Did though give good drive from the backline but needs to give his opponent more respect when playing deeper.

Re: Player of the year Round 6 vs Bummers

Only saw the last 2.5 quarters.

3. Bowden. Wanted to give Polo 3, but couldn't go past JB. His incredibly creative, risky and gutsy runs out of the backline taking on opponents in the last 5 mins set up the win. Amazing play under huge pressure.

2. Polo. Best debut I've ever seen by a street.

1. Tivendale
