Model of Consistency
Tim Taranto failed to poll votes in only two rounds, Round 15 and Round 23. He polled a maximum 10 votes 5 times, and 8 votes (second best) on 4 occasions.
Shai Bolton matched Taranto, only failing to poll votes in Round 2 and Round 20. He polled the maximum 10 votes 4 times. But he couldn't match Taranto for the lesser vote tallies, often getting 2-3 votes whereas Taranto fell to 4-5 votes games.
Liam's Perfect Game
Liam Baker knocked it out of the park in Round 3. Every PRE voter awarded him their 5 votes for the round. All 41 voters that round voted him best on for the Tigers! Impressive!.
Just because he is Dusty, Martin went one better than Liam, doing the same thing in Round 22 and Round 23. But it should be noted that only 27 PREnders cast votes in each of those rounds, making the feat a little easier than Liam's.
Hot Start
Daniel Rioli started the season like a train, polling 30 out of a possible 40 votes over the first 4 rounds of the season. Injuries hammered him late, and he fell away to a total of 75.
Hot Trot
Tim Taranto obviously figured he would cop an AA snub and so decided he had better win something for the mantle piece. Between Round 6 and Round 14 he was a man on a mission, polling 72 out of a possible 90 votes over this period. The award was a foregone conclusion from that point on.
Saving his best to last
Who else but the great man Dusty. In the last 3 rounds he grabbed 27 of a possible 30 votes with 2 X BOGs in the final two rounds. He gave Taranto too much of a headstart, but he nearly ran down Bolton, which seemed unlikely when at the end of Round 16, Bolton led Dusty by 28 votes.
Ivan Soldo deserves a special mention here too. Overcoming injury and poor early season form, he polled in his last 7 games of the season. He only played 8 games for the season, so that is an impressive strike rate for the big fella!
Rookie of the year
Tylar Young got a fair bit of opportunity with Gibcus not playing, and while his tally of 22.5 votes might not seem that impressive, he polled votes in 11 of his 19 games for the season. Outstanding for a rookie KPD.
