Round 5: the hair clogged shower drain games.

Qtrs have long been reduced from 25 mins plus time on to 20 mins plus time on yet somehow these days most qtrs still go for well over 30 mins. Ten to thirteen minutes of time on added to each twenty minute qtr, it's a bloody farce of the AFL's own making that qtrs go so long. If it weren't for the umpires arse waggling, recalled bounces, goal reviews, traffic directing at each bounce and the extended wait for the little green commercials finished light to flick on. There'd be no reason for any qtr to take longer than 25 or 26 mins, unless of course they had to bring out the wheelie bin for seriously injured players.

That’s because the clock stops so much more often in 20 min era than the 25 era.
A ball up didnt stop the clock or out of bounds unless the ball took too long to be given back.
if a quarter went past 30 it was long. 33 was rare.
