PRE 2018 Phantom Draft

Knowing what we now know, how do we think Jack Graham would rate in this draft as a midfield talent?
Is he better than Stocker, Valente or Ely Smith? Try putting his G.F heroics aside for a minute

Hard to say, can't forget Graham was a Larke medalist who had senior exposure. I think just about everyone was surprised to see him drift out to the extent he did, even Graham was on the record as saying Larke medal winners should be given more respect. Ely Smith looks more second round to me, something about his kicking action that is slightly concerning. With Valente looking like going early it's pretty much Stocker, unless of course we roll the dice on a line breaker like Hill.

Shai and Hiil on the list would be huge reward or huge bust but certainly not boring.

Don’t need Hill. Far from what our needs our right now.

Think Hartley has made it clear we're going best available again with our first.
Will end up being where they rank players available when it's our turn.
Like Bolton and Higgins. Both were too good to refuse but may not have been positional necessities.
Hill highly rated by many.

Shai, Hill, Rioli, Butts, Bakes and then MJR. what a mozzie swarm!

There's a few positions that are tenuous, Castagna for one, not exactly like for like but Hill brings a few more skills to the table. With Lynch coming in we can afford to shed the small marking forward, pressure not compromised either. Some big decisions coming up.

With conca gone we'll probably see Higgins / caddy / DR spend more midfield time.
Plus Castagna is underperforming as you say.
Opportunity for whoever we pick

I'm with you, skills are AFL quality. Maybe attitude? Still time for Pickett, some of these guys could get picked up between now & March.
