Elves are preddy weak though..... you want cool how can you bypass the...HOBBITS!

1) they kick ass
2) they saved the world
3) they have 6 meals a day (when dieting)
4) they have beer with all meals
5) go back to (4)

Nah! I'll have the men of Westernesse any day.... or Rohan come to think of it.
Then again Legolas, Haldir and Celeborn weren't bad.

Soft? Soft? You calling Elrond, Turin, Gil-galad soft? Off to Mordor with you.
And what is LOTR doing in the parody thread? It's real.

Well, the elves are effectively immortal yet when the time again comes for a fair dinkum stoush they tell everyone it is the time of 'men', and not the elves. Really soft IMO.

In answer to your question: no to begin with, but in the time of middle earth - yes.

Magnificent work Anduril,it's always good to see scientists doing 'elves' work.

We actually go back further and the naming ensured our religion had a nice antipodean flavour to it.

So rest assured my fellow travellors, our religion is at least 3 million years old.
