Opposition discussion

We are learning along the way that there is a hefty price to pay for winning 3 flags in 4 years.
Nah. That's just an easy excuse.
Cats won 3 flags in 5 years n then simply continued playing finals virtually ever since then while constantly regrowing their list through two dynasty eras and the expansion drafts. Neks minnit the pricks won another flag had a toe stub stumble and are back on top of the ladder again.
Huge effort in consistency for over 20 years.

Great player Rory Sloane. Possibly a premiership player if he didn't run into JGTI at quarter time of the 2017 GF.
Always admired the way he went about it & one of my favourite opposition players ever.

No coincidence he called it just on the derby game this Thursday.

How many players being held before they have had a chance to get the ball, in a very short clip?

No wonder the game is a mess, you can't gather the ball without being held.

Good analysis though, Carlton need to go up a notch on their ability to get the ball to a team-mate from congestion.

First comment on the mark David, second comment not so much. The issue is players being held and scragged while trying to get close enough to get the ball. Nothing wrong with grabbing or holding a player once he's gathered the ball, that bit's called a tackle.

Yes, but you misunderstand, they can't gather the ball as they are already being held prior to gathering the ball.

You can't have possession until the ball is gathered.
