Matt Coulthard

That moment blew my mind...jack seemed to be busy asking the ump for a 50 and was oblivious to Coulthard.
He saw Coulthard. He went to kick it, but the guy who should have been "stand"ing on the mark suddenly moved forward 3 steps so he couldnt kick it over him. Jack probably still should have tried.
In fairness though he did hit Dusty who had an open shot from 50, so the end result from Jack was ok.

Took a while to find this guy.

This thread has been dormant since Aug last year?
(that's longer than some volcanoes!)

So, haven't seen any of the match sims or praccy game.

How's he going?
Is he injured?
Burst onto the scene in that come from behind win v Hawks.
He got us going when we were 5 goals down IIRC.

Appreciate any news, Brethren!

Yes.

Had soft tissue injury then niggle another hamstring if I'm not mistaken.

Will offer plenty going forward has poise and skill and speed, exactly what this side needs more of.

I'm on the Coulthard train
but we have to be patient , interrupted pre season and a traffic jam of small forward types

give it a month or so of the season proper

then

toot toot
all abord

Important player for us going forward. We need quick and creative small forwards with a tank, who can lead up and double back into an open fwd line. Think Bobby Hill.

He is as natural as any footballer that I think I have seen. His movement is mesmerising. Glides.

Seems to be the forgotten man
This is what Morro had to say about his game

Matthew Coulthard (13 disposals, three marks, three goals)
“It’s quite extraordinary to see the work rate and the numbers that he’s putting up from a GPS point of view each and every week. We really benefitted from his run up and down the wings at different stages. He played team-first footy, but also hit the scoreboard heavily with three goals.”

Weve only won 1 AFL game
Cmon Livingstone give Coulthard a go

This week was better, but he doesn't get much of the ball despite all the running. Jack Dyer had a saying about that.
Maurice was like that until this season. Last year in the few games Coulthard played he did seem to make things happen when he did get the ball, though.
